How about adding useful details in the reference book instead of just flavour text? E.g say what the Slimy modifier actually does so people don't also need google it just to understand the mod.
Can you add a different variation of a removed function of a battlesign.
Earlier, in 1.7.10, a battlesign could be placed as an actual sign with words on it.
What I would like is not placing the battlesign, but with shift right click, writing words on the battlesign in your hands. So you have a battlesign with something written on it.
Get together with the developer of the Extra Bit Manipulation Mod. And work out an integration between the two mods allowing you to add the stats and abilities of Tinkers weapons, tools and armor with the limitless aesthetic potential of Extra Bit Manipulation.
Make an option in the config file to turn off the items being visible within the smelters. It would act like the option "renderInventoryInWorld" where it doesn't show items in the individual blocks. Even combining the two would be awesome. I suggest this because the items in the smelters is causing fps drops when I look at them; especially very large smelters.
So TerraFirmaCraft allowed you to place ingots down in massive stacks, I think Tinker's would benefit from having that as part of the mod, and it's a small thing to add in
I would like to see a system like the tools but for armor. I think that would be really cool

I'd like to see the mod (and its related mods) updated for Minecraft 1.11.2.
Is there anything an MS.Net developer could do to assist with such an endeavor?
