So, I'm looking for an elaborated explanation of basic modding.
I've watched a few videos on youtube, I get the general idea of copying the folders and stuff into MCP and that it takes editing classes, but about actual modding is where I don't feel entirely comfortable.
Is there some source for what each class will do? Can you just make your own class files? How do people do it?
I mean, I've photoshopped stuff for a few years, so I could do that if it's something you need. I did HTML (which is probably the short bus of the coding world, but at least I can somewhat understand code), so I think I can somewhat expect to learn how to edit the coding.
I'm just looking for someone to explain the processes and stuff like that, maybe add in the variables and the different routes you can go, say some program names, processes and such. Whatever you think I'd need to know. Maybe even source some videos for other knowledge.

THAT LOUSY, GOOD-FOR-NOTHING DRAGON EGG OF YOURS.
I found it. I'll give it a read. Thanks for the recommendation.
So one thing not found in that tutorial is... How do you update your mod to the current version of Minecraft?
