I'll do my best here, but I know he'll just bash it somehow.
1. It isn't really difficult to code a mod. I've yet to see you respond to someone saying "make your own mod", so I guess you'll conveniently skip this part of my post in your upcoming rant.
2. You don't have to do potions. You don't have to do enchanting (I know you didn't mention it, but I thought I'd throw it out there for ya). Hell, if you find potions the lesser of the two evils, you don't really even have to do hunger. Another "non-solution", if you don't like the way a game is going, you can just stop playing. Or if you like the game enough to stick with it, you should have a strong enough attachment to it to mod it to your heart's content.
3. You seem to like PvP style stuff. I can imagine 1.0 effing you, seeing as it takes 20 friggen hits with a diamond sword on an armored opponent to kill them. You seem to like advanced combat mechanincs, so why don't you like the new systems? Now it's not "whoever has the most food wins". Sure, it's a much longer process, but that just allows for more tactics and fun, IMHO.
4. If this all somehow ties back to SMP (I'm not sure it does), you do realize you CAN make your own server, and disable all that stuff?
Of course, #2 is a quote "non-solution", but I'll give it a shot anyways.
Anyone else reading, you all do realize no matter what we say, he's not going to agree unless he gets EXACTLY what he wants? Sorta like a spoiled brat.
Try making your own game, getting it to be massively popular, and then trying to please everyone sometime. Trust me, none of those are easy.
One final thing, I do admit, I luled at Squidward. I can sympathize with you, I think most MCers can, but can't you be like the rest of us and adapt? As stated previously, ranting on the forums doesn't do much.
here is another solution. YOU make an amazing indie game, have a massive forums for it, and then you notch and jeb can complain on the forums of your game saying what THEY don't like. how about you do that?

All the "Downgrade MC" replies REALLY aren't productive.
Of course not. It would be nice if they recognized the legitimate grievances of a large chunk of the fanbase, though.
They do recognize the legitimate grievances of nearly every fan. Whether or not they have the TIME, or motivation to do anthing about it however, is different. As you've said, not everybody on the goddamn planet knows Java. And as such, some will have a greater knowledge than others. I can assure you, the Minecraft modders are not of the greatest caliber. If they were, they'd be creating games of their own.
This, like almost everything else you've written in this thread, is ********. I hated hunger and experience before they were part of the game, back when people modded them in.
You've said earlier, you can't FORCE somebody to use a mod. So why would you possibly hate them then? You could've just ignored them then. Sure, they may not have been the best, but you can IGNORE them. As you've stated before.
I did not know how to equate mathematical equations when I was born. However, I learned how to.
When I first started getting into game design, I had not the faintest idea of how to program using C++, however after a year or so I'm a fairly adequate programmer. It just goes to show, if you weren't a lazy asshole, you could LEARN how to program in Java, and then that would not be an excuse.
If you are too lazy to learn Java, don't expect other people to do your work, for free, that they don't care about.
That's like asking some doctor. "Yeah. I think my arm is broken. But I have no idea how to check, nor do I actually have any idea if it is or not. You are GOING to check it for me. And you are GOING to fix it for me. I will harass you forever if you do not.
Oh, and I'm not paying for your ignorance doctor."
Yeah, potions and enchanting and a giant goddamn dragon in a parallel dimension inhabited by teleporting aliens made the game super-realistic
I know this fix is going to make you flip out at me. And give me some dumb meme as a response, but I'll say it anyways.
1. Potions. You can completely avoid making a brewing stand. BAM. No potions. Want a mod to remove it? Go and read a tutorial. It's one line of code to remove brewing stands from the survival game. It's a little more to remove it from creative mode, but you hate creative mode. That doesn't make a different.
2. Enchanting. Use a texture pack to remove the EXP bar. Change 1 line of code to remove enchanting tables from Survival mode.
It's not there. And don't even think of saying it's still there, I just can't see it. You can't see it. Done and done.
With a texture pack, you can remove the EXP orbs, and the EXP bar. You can also change the sound and not listen to the looting of the orbs.
Oh, and it's just 1 line of code to remove them as well, if I remember correctly.
3. Dragon. Well, it's a little more difficult to remove. But I see you don't like the parallel dimension either.
So, just remove 2 lines of code and both the Nether and the End will be removed. Which I assume you hate both, as they are both parallel dimensions.
4. Enderman. Well, these are a little harder to remove. Although I'm sure there are already mods out there to remove it.
Don't you DARE use the excuse you can't code in Java and can't make the mods yourself. You DELETE 5 lines of code, and it requires absolutely NO knowledge of java. Just some simple logic after reading a basic tutorial (simo's tutorials. Difficulty level 1/10...) I won't link it for you, cuz I need to raise that difficulty SOMEHOW.
Assuming that everyone on the whole goddamn planet knows Java is such an unbelievably moronic position to come from that I didn't even consider it worth responding to. Apparently, though, you need to have this obvious fact explained to you, so let me reiterate: NOT EVERYONE ON THE WHOLE GODDAMN PLANET KNOWS JAVA.
Again, let me reiterate this for you: You do not need to know Java to remove these from the game. You need to read a simple tutorial teaching you how to add a recipe to the game. Then remove the recipes for the item you want gone. You can't craft it. And they aren't randomly generated.

2 lines of code removed per item. Stop being lazy, read a tutorial.

typical nonsense full of flames and strawman arguments
A long time ago, when people were much more vocal about their dislike of certain aspects of 1.8, all the doormats were saying "stop complaining, there will be a mod for that". I asked a simple question: "after a few months, where are those mods?".
You, like most people who posted here, never even tried to answer this question. You instead decided that your time would be much more productively spent by calling me names and misrepresenting my arguments. Come back when you have something intelligent to contribute.
What I'm saying is give these things a chance, you may like them when you learn to use them.
I swear on the graves of the gods of every dead religion in the world, I will never use enchanting or most of the current potions. The throwy-explodey potions seem kind of fun, though.
Hmmm... after a few minutes of thought, I have to ask... how much Java would I need to learn in order to create a Bukkit plugin that restores sea level to y=64, and adjusts everything else appropriately so it doesn't look like I just took a normal map and used Worldedit to add a one-meter-thick layer of water? If it's as easy as you guys are implying, then I've been wasting an awful ****ing lot of time...

I also said that you, as well as everybody else on this thread, were being immature, and flaming for no apparent reason.
I am on no side, you asked nicely, and then you were provoked. However, you went beyond that which you were pushed to. If you were to ask me NICELY, and apologize for all this nonsense you've created in this thread, I would gladly create the mod for you. But until I know that it will be appreciated, and that you are actually a normal, respectable human being, I refuse to help you at all.
Can you comprehend this, or are you truly an intellectually deficient retard? Such that your signature describes?
Jens made the villagers. Also, you have made yourself out to be a huge douchebag here, as your disgust towards trying out new features is equal to a little kid not wanting to eat the food their parents slaved for hours to make. You also admit that the potions are cool, or at least the splash ones are. However the way you are acting towards the games progress shows that you think two geniuses have no idea what the paying community doesn't want, and that you are under the illusion that your thoughts are shared by millions of players.
Also, the ****ing sea level has never changed, the height measurement in f3 is just off by a block.
It's also equal to a guy not wanting to drink Coca cola, cuz he also has pepsi in his hand.
1: Downgrade to a version without hunger/exp/potions, Then install a mod that adds everything else to bring you back up to date
2: Mod that disables the crafting of potions, Reduces EXP drops to 0, and changes your hunger depletion rate and health re-gen rates, to non-existent.
3: Peacefull, since if you don't like the RPG elements, clearly you don't want the RPG element of having to survive against random monster spawns, as thats the first RPG element that was added.
4: Creative mode, again, if you don't want an RPG and you just want to build. CREATIVE MODE.
That said, I know your going to try to rip these apart because. your probably just being a troll. The reason I say your a troll, is that with the exception of hunger, the presence of EXP and potions can be ignored, they're background elements. the ONLY thing that has any bearing whatsoever is hunger, which a mod can fix. give the food items set numbers of hearts to recover, and change the health regen and food depletion rates to 0/t and you can ignore hunger.
You want to play without fortresses? Structures off, its not like NPC's are there in the current version anyway.
Every single one of your complaints, which you've dragged out for 5 pages, have been over stupid menial **** that have no restrictions, limitations, or any bearings on what you do whatsoever. the ONLY exception to that is hunger, which with mods is an easy fix. Essentially your bitching about nothing. either your a troll, or you got drunk and felt like notch was trolling you and made angry forum posts. Either way, your sounding like a complete jackass.
I do on the other hand agree, the water level has changed. I have a pre 1.8 map, and explored a distance. and now after an update, I forget which, I explore out into the ocean, and all the water abruptly drops a block into a lower level of ocean, because world generation changed.

I was wondering wtf he was talking about with the sea level changing. Even if it did change by 1 block, why the hell does it matter?
I also have a bunch of mods here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/851974-
It doesn't. He is one of the few minecraft players that truly has OCD.
It's also equal to a guy not wanting to drink Coca cola, cuz he also has pepsi in his hand.
You seem to be quite fond of that.
Noted. Avatar will be changed soon.
I joined in beta 1.1 or 1.2 and never complained about a single change until 1.8
Your claim is ********.
Actual maps prove otherwise.
A map freshly generated in 1.7.3:
The exact same map imported to 1.0:
Grass looks like ****, but the y-measurement hasn't changed.
Wandering a few chunks out, I find this:
Oh look, the sea level in the old 1.7.3 chunk is higher than in the new 1.0.0 chunk!
You now have my permission to shut the hell up and come back when you know what the **** you're talking about.
The voices in my head are unable to give a satisfactory answer to that question.

I'm ****ing done with you, you selfish, un-grateful *******.
I offered to make the mod, if you asked nicely. That's flaming? No. That's getting what you asked done.
Grow up kid.
