I really wanna download the "You are the Creeper Mod," but I've watched some videos on it, and I don't know that I should. One video said you shouldn't have any other mods installed before installing this one, I have the Minimap and "Too Many Items" mods, it also says this mod could corrupt my world files and I should back them up. Because I already have mods installed before it, should I download it? and has anyone's world files ever been corrupted with this mod before?
I probably should mention I don't know how to back up my world save files (I really don't wanna lose them) I've been meaning to find out because I've been told it isn't hard. Anyways, do you guys think I should download it? Thanks for all responses in advance.

Any mod on this website could corrupt saved game files.
This is just a risk people take to have more fun, however permanent corruption of a save file is rather rare.
To backup a saved world, go to your .minecraft folder, go to the folder "Saves" copy and paste the worlds you wish to save to a safe location. (I use the desktop).
That way, if something gets corrupted, just delete the corrupted world out of your Saves folder, and drag&drop the still-good world file from your desktop, to your Saves folder.

Ok, uhm, I installed the mod, and all I get is a black screen. I looked on the downlaod page for it an it says I gotta download all this other stuff and I'm really not going to do that. So, I'm guessing I have to go through and delete al the files in there correct? I was looking though the forums and someone said you may have to download another .jar file, is that correct?
No, just download the prerequisites and put them in the jar.
"prerequisites?" Well, I went and deleted all the files that I found in my mod file from my .jar and now when I start it I get a black screen. (big surprise) I'll just restart and get a new .jar file. So do I just delete the .jar file, then it'll ask me to download a new one right? Please answer as soon as possible, thanks!

try deleting the META-INF folder in Minecraft.jar first to see if that makes the mod work. If not, just delete Minecraft.jar and run Minecraft this will download a squeaky clean minecraft.jar. This will also, unfortunately delete all achievements, all your stats, and all other mods you have installed (you won't lose your TooManyItems save thingys, though =). Just re-install it), but now you know to also backup minecraft.jar before installing a mod.

Yes, I do now, thanks! Thanks to everyone else too!
