I took some time to make a list of suggestions and concerns, I am really interested in this mod, since the nether is quite bland as it is.

One thing I want to point out is that you should not have to limit yourself by making this compatible with the Aether mod. It would be cool, but featurewise, you would be limited by having less block texture spaces, as it is now, the Aether adds a great deal of new blocks so thats less space in the terrain.png for you to use. (dont forget the Minecraft overhaul-ness of these two mods would contirbute to deep FPS drops)
There should be something to help you become more fire resistant, since with all these mobs with player ignition properties will make death by fire very common. Perhaps you can add a piece of armor (or edit gold armor so it does so, since you appear to love gold :tongue.gif:) that reduces the duration of burning down to 1/4 of the original length.
I really like the idea of the giant fungal growth, but I wish they had more of a use. Maybe you can make it drop an ingredient of the antidote, along with the powder the toxic spiders drop.
The same can also be said about the Mogus, they seem insignficant and pointless, so I came up with a crazy idea. Taking toxic powder that the spiders drop, bone meal, and the red slime balls, and putting them into a recipe, you create a "fertilizer" that when applied to a mogus, they mutate into super Mogus that will be twice the size of its orignal, and follows you around like a wolf, using its new combat abilites that damage 3 hearts and will posion as well (since most mushrooms in the world are poisonous). Also if the fertilizer is used on white mushrooms it will act like bonemeal and grow it to its full state, and when used on other mushrooms it will spawn more mushrooms around it.
BTW, I was a bit confused on how the evil pigmen are gonna be, since there will also be zombie pigmen in the nether too. are the evil pigmen also zombies? and will they fight each other?
Also you need a banshee to complete the trio of annoying evil things that make random hellish noises of doom death and evil bacon.
^ The banshee's sheer purpose should be to randomly appear in front of you and scream so you have a heart attack and jump into lava on accident, lol

Do you know in 'battle towers' where you got those randomly generated towers? Can you add this 50x50 castle with a obtainable item in it? Like a boss named 'SoulSucker' who hit you and you go out of control for 1 secound, but can only be captured with smelted soul sand

We're adding dungeons with bosses, but they're not what you described. But there are spirits in the Nether, like ghasts, wights and soulplasm (it's a living liquid, behaves differently on Surface than in Nether)[/spoiler]
Interesting concept, though we already have a nether fertilizer (black bonemeal, crafted from blackened bones). I agree mogus should be more useful, but we don't want them too useful, as they're a pretty easy prey.
You're wrong about most mushrooms being poisonous, though. Only purple mushrooms are poisonous, green are anti-poisonous, white and original are neutral.
I see, perhaps you can give the mogus a sort of tribal, teamwork based mentality, making them run from dangers when alone, and confronting them when they have strength in numbers. So therefore, they arent too useful, but not helpless.

There is no set date right now, and we like to surprise people. I'm thinking maybe around the end of next week... but there are no promises. We will definitely have the baseline out before the last week in August.

There is an obsidian chest right in the middle of the dungeon. To open it, you need an obsidian key. You get an obsidian key by killing some of the monsters that spawn in the dungeon. It is cool. But think of all the criticism we would get if we had two dark looking chests. They look visually similar.
I'm very seriously considering adding you to our group. I need to see a few things you've made though. It seems like you know what you're doing. But I'm sure you can understand how many people we go through claiming to be good at textures and such.
Give me three quality selections from the work you have produced, and we'll go from there.
This going to be epic! and i think you guys are the first to possible make colored light awesome! and btw what program do you use to make the 3D models of the Mobs?
We use Techne (model creation program). It works wonderfully, minus the occasional glitch when exporting models. :tongue.gif:
Quite interested in this mod--i'm kinda worried about conflicts with the aether's items (the only things at the moment that spring to mind at the moment would be the poisons/antidotes), and the thought of having both mods at once is practically making me drool...

They're light blue ATM, and the logs are blue-ish purple. It's to give them a more cold feel.
