Well, isn't it great to do stuff that god doesn't want us to do? KwantumKwaft adds quantum, which alters life as we know it!
Well, what does it do, anyway?
Quantum is a new ore, found in abundance at the diamond layer. Once RÊFINADO'd and made into blocks, quantum, to put it simply, f*cks sh*t up! For example. Ever feel that cacti are too weak? Well tinkering with the infiniverse should help! Combine a cactus with Quantum to make ubercacti, the ultimate breed. Need something stronger than iron but can't find any DIMANDO'S? Make Black Iron! Feeling hungry? Make watermelon! Feelin' a bit MÊXINACO? Make a sombrero!
Now, the thing is, we don't know the properties of this quantum, anything is EL POSSIBLÊ!
Ok enough of the stupid stuff. KwantumKwaft basically adds a new element, and with it you can make stuff /really/ cool.
(disregard the apparent MÊXINANO nature of this post.)
Personally I don't like it that much. No offence man. I'd still look at it before I judge. I'm sure some elements or parts of it could be cool and useful though.
Seems a little simple. I was expecting some sort of advancement on the redstone system, given real-life quantum theories. Assuming you don't know what those are (based on the fact that nothing in your original post had anything to do with quantized... well... anything)- an object with quantized factors (eg. traveling over a long distance in some type of pod or something) would mean that the exact instant that the object begins to travel to its destination, it is also already there, meaning that it is never actually in the space between its starting and ending point, and also means that no matter the distance, if the starting and ending points could be changed, the time it would take to travel from one to the other would be the same, given the correct energy inputs.
Quantum computers will (assuming they are ever actually fully functional :tongue.gif:)work along very similar lines, except in stead of making things travel across distances, they would use quantum "entanglement." Entanglement means that two objects, no matter their distance in space, will respond to energy inputs given to the other object, eg. two dice are quantized, roll one, the other will roll in the exact same way, and land on the same face. The intermediate steps involve a complex array of back-and-forth interference and compensation between the two, since it would be nigh impossible to create two tables in two rooms in two separate locations (no matter the distance :tongue.gif:) that were EXACTLY the same, but essentially the overall outcome would be that they both will go through the exact same motions as each-other.
Or at least that's my understanding of how it all works.
If you've followed me so far, try getting a little more creative and a lot less "YOU ARE GOD! (at least until you walk into one of these 'ubercacti,' at which point you rage because you lost all your stuff from accidentally touching a block for only a single tick :tongue.gif:)"
I'll admit the sombrero is a little tempting, but I'm still gonna have to say this needs loads more features, a lot more control, and a different name (unless you add something that is actually somewhat close to quantum technology :tongue.gif:). If you don't add quantum technology, might I suggest using something that has more to do with ripping holes in space-time?
