So I wanted to make a blacksmith because hell yeah blacksmithery. There's four furnaces, a water thing, and an anvil on the inside of it. This is blacksmith_1, the previous version has a wooden roof and the smooth stone replaced with cobble.
Other than that I am trying to stylize all of the original buildings to be a tad less boring, would anyone be interested in that?
Would it be possible to have a screenshot of the interior, too?
Also, a variation of the original buildings would be quite interesting, but so far it does look like they have to be the same size as they started. Just in case you didn't know (Y) :smile.gif:
Updated my earlier post with it, they don't understand furnace facing but they were able to put the rest of it together so I'll give them that!
Also, I'm already knee deep in the whole mess and no, you don't need to keep them the same size at all. My version of lumberdude's hut as well as my town hall take up more space than the original plans.
My rendition of the farm and lumbermanshut. These are both second and final upgrade. First Farmhouse is all wood without a porch, first upgrade adds cobblestone cornering and an attic, second adds the porch, stone cornering, and windows. First Lumberhouse is all wood without a porch as well, first upgrade adds a second story sort of and cobble cornering to it, second adds the porch, smooth stone, and windows. I'm about four buildings away from having /core done with.

There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I am that line.
I tried making one of my own, but for some reason, they aren't building anything. They don't even have it listed as a project in the main building. I'm sure I installed it right, so what could be wrong?
EDIT: I tried installing other buildings that other people have made, but the signs still say "No construction goal" and "no construction in progress". I have plenty of room and all of the core buildings have been made and upgraded, so what's wrong?
some one please help.. im trying to download these and everytime i click a download link it brings me to the website in some very strange language making it so i can't download them.. someone please help me because i dont even know what to do...

Maybe you forgot to add the "configuration-line" (for example: "butchershop;1;50;0;butcher's shop;") in the custom.txt text file.
If not, you can open the millenaire.log file with a text-editor and search for your building. On error, this would have to stand in this text file.
You can also increase the priority weight. ("butchershop;1;2000;0;butcher's shop;")

I do have those lines in the custom.txt and it isn't that other buildings are getting more priority, it's that the signs say "no construction goal" and "no current construction"

I am getting an error and this is how it goes.
I render a new town, or shortly after.
i freeze for 30 seconds. then, upon unfreeze, each of the town member's name pops up with an error to see the logfile.
The logfile explains how there needs to be another ; after chapel, which I put. I save. close minecraft and start a new world after I run it again.
Error happens again.
It seems to have cached an old extras.txt and wont read the new one.
In the text file itself, it states
//name;max number;priority weight;block meta (0 for extras);French/Norman name;English name
That is 6 fields, and 5 ;
Many people are forgetting english name and the colon. This might be why its not working right.
hut;2;10;0;Hutte;Hut;
compared to
hut;2;10;0;Hut;
None of the core buildings have the English name in them, and there's no colon after it.
Also, this is my custom folder, it isn't working, can someone see what's wrong with it? http://www.mediafire.com/?60yq3asctvq13cl

your custom map seems okay to me, Try to copy them all to the "extra" folder and copy the "custom" notepad file to the "extra" notepad file.. see if that works.. Also, your graveyard starts at level "G2" isnt that supposed to be -1 ?
Sorry, I was doing some find and replace in notepad, so it's actually meant to be -2. I actually tried it in the extra folder first because that's what the instruction say to do, but that didn't work either, so I looked on here and put them in custom instead.

I am using a plain install of the most recent version1.04 using milleniare version 1.3 or something, and when a town renders, I get BIG LAG, a error... and then things go normally, but periodic lag that I know is due to this mod. A update is coming up so I hope its fixed, but heres my error.

Ghost, how do you know its in unicode? furthermore, if you cant use notepad, what about text pad? or RTF editor? Whats the best way to convert to "plain text"?
None of the core buildings have the English name in them, and there's no colon after it.
Also, this is my custom folder, it isn't working, can someone see what's wrong with it? http://www.mediafire.com/?60yq3asctvq13cl
Your custom.txt is in unicode and Millénaire does not understand it.
Convert it to plain text and it will be fine.
OMG thanks oh so very much! =D
Notepad was complaining about converting Unicode file into plain text, so I figured it needed to be in Unicode.

Ah, wait. Now it started making the smith but stopped halfway through (I don't even know if it ever started) so I made my custom.txt this:
graveyard;1;1;0;Cimetiere;
And now it isn't starting anything. When I reload minecraft the town hall says it needs about 400 cobble and 100 glass, but my graveyard doesn't use either, and hten it dissapears as soon as I enter, saying neither is needed.

graveyard_0.txt does have a few problems:
There are 4 spaces at the beginning of the first 2 lines
Also the first layer is missing a line as is should be 29 lines but you only have 28.
Look at millenaire.log in the millenaire directory and it will tell you what problems it has.
millenaire also has a known bug in that they do pause in building for a few MC days
Other than that I am trying to stylize all of the original buildings to be a tad less boring, would anyone be interested in that?

Don't worry, he's usually pretty good about reading all of the posts in the thread ^^
Aha! Thanks much for the help you have given! =D
