What exactaly can you build with a 4x4 grid that you can't build with a 3x3 grid? You do realize that with a 3x3 grid times x number of items you literally can come up with several million recepie combinations? There is no need for a 4x4 grid you geniuses. I challenge you to come up with one recipe that can't be constructed on a 3x3 grid. You can't. /thread
Fish tank.
There's a limit to how much you can do on the 3x3 (Though large). But I think 4x4 expands the possibilities.
I liked my idea better by placing 2 crafting benches to make a crafting table.
Or someone else put this

It's a good idea but the only problem is how fast you could get that.
Step 1: Spawn
Step 2: Chop down a tree
Step 3: make 4 workbenches (or 2) and make an extended workbench
Step 4: Continue with your life with a larger workbench already, completely skipping the normal one.

I would like to add... Maybe to prevent skipping the old Workbench, Make the crafting recipe for a Extended Workbench include a material that is hard to come buy, Even a material found in the Nether??
The 4x4 craft grid will be a completely seperate download, don't worry. I'm thinking I'll probably need to completely immerse myself in the crafting manager until I see a little digit that regulates the size of craft matrix. Just like I found a single number that changed the huge bug I had and a single string that made it show!

I'm not bashing your mod or anything I'm just wondering: Is it really necessary? I seriously think that with a little intuition you can fit everything into the 3x3. Just my opinion.

Hello? Eat my tarts? In this cosmic dance of bursting decadence, withheld permissions twist all our arms collectively. But if sweetness can win- and it can- then I'll still be here tomorrow to high five you yesterday my friend. Peace.
Because that definitely shows how a fish tank would be made... How about something that I thought up, a steam boiler? Here is what I have:

Or some such. How would you do this with a 3x3 keeping the inside space and stuff? Oh wait, you can't. Stop complaining that you have a big enough craft grid. If you want to shape what you make, the more space the better.

Not everything is an exact reshape of what it crafts. The wood and iron doors don't actually have the windows or the knobs for example. Also, I'm pretty sure fish tanks ARE made with glass and water in the middle. Besides why would you craft a fish tank? Just build a glass cube and fill it with water!!!!

Just... Just no. Stop, really. You can't always win. We will think of something you can't create accurately (and it will be soon!)
Ummm ok... Evidently so. And good luck with that. Maybe we'll make the 4x4 JUST for that one item. And it shall all be worth it.

TV: Made for decor, has animated front screen, must be powered to work.
= Redstone.
Breeder:Put 2 of a certain item in it and wait a while and that mob will come.

Haha! You have lost my friend with the breeder! the wheat was the floor and it required the 2 blocks in the middle for the animal you wanted! Unless I completely misinterpreted that crafting idea...

Basicly the Reinforced Wooden Door is in between the iron door and the wooden door
To make this easer ill just say this
Power Level:
Wooden Door - 200
Iron Door - 600
Reinforced Wooden Door - 400
