I am new to the modding in minecraft and i have tons of great mod ideas but it seems asking isnt very effective...
Which is why the saying "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a life time". Fits in quite perfectly. I was thinking some great modder could take me under their wing and show me how to do the basics. and i do not mean making texture packs... I mean basic java coding. so if anyone could introduce me to the subject as a mentor that would be great.
How about making friends with creepers ey?

Or clippers for sheep wool, giving you the max amount of fur possible! Or for safely diffusing TNT so you can pick it back up

u probably wont get a modder whos any good to be ur mentor from these forums cos all the good modders are to busy to help out very much
anyway this guys forums are very helpful
most of the mods are made by people who have coding experience anyways
Thanks but no thanks. I specifically posted a request for a mentor not a tutorial on how to make things for minecraft 1.2.6 ALPHA *FACEPALM*
You expect, being that rude you'll find a mentor easily? As said before, it's best to just follow the tutorials, the chances of a mentor are terribly slim.
