Greetings, I was trying to find inspiration for a an interesting texture pack and realised that it was all around me (I'm Australian). So I'm making an Australian themed texture pack but I'm still trying to think of exactly what should replace what. It's not exactly going to be realistic but more stereotyped, so far I have made a great drop-bear texture for creepers and I'm working on a mad-max one for skeletons. Here is my plan so far:
- Replace creepers with drop bears
- Replace skeletons with mad max villain (I was going to use make an aborigine but decided against that for obvious reasons)
- Replace cow with giant wombat
- Replace pig with dingo
- Replace zombie with either zombie Steve-Irwin (complete with stingray on the back) or a serial killer
So you wake up on a beach one day, and remember NOTHING. (Except your degree teachings in Engineering, Wilderness Survival, Metal work, Physics, Tech, Psychology, History, Dynamics, and Blocks.) You mine and build and survive for years and years.
As a non-Australian, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear "Australia" is Kangaroos.
You NEED to have kangaroos bouncing about!
yes, that is pretty stereotypical... however to make a new mob is very complicated, it involves meshing and coding in certain behaviors, spawn locations, item drops and decompiling, inserting the mob data and then recompiling the minecraft.jar to see if the alteration worked. short answer, your not going to see kangaroos any time soon, unless thats on Dr. Zark's (the creator of mo'creatures) list or you can convince another skilled coder/ java savvy person to do it for you
