Yea! I get to be the one saying "2 mny pikzls!" for a change! wooo hooo!
Just kiddin'.
What's likely happening is that when you increased the size of the original you either didn't use the nearest neighbor algorithm or your image editor had a rounding issue. It happens. Even in Photoshop I've had issues.
So, I'd suggest grabbing the 128 template from my sig and doubling it's resolution using nearest neighbor. You'll get the benefit of having the layers and masks and there's less chance of distorting the original.
I do have a suggestion for you though. Having gone through the slow trauma that is making a 128 px pack I strongly STRONGLY advize you to uprez every single texture file from the original and play it before you begin. Be sure theat you get the performance that you want. And not just framerate. Open every container or device and run this check-pack on a big and complex world that you're familiar with.
If you can run it well and it feel good then start crafting the textures. I just don't want you to get done and have any issues. THat would suck in a most spectacular way.
ty for the advice, i had replaced the most common ones i see in daily operation of minecraft smoth stone grass dirt cobble stone sand clay, now then theses werent textures i had created myself they are from a free texture site i foudn on the amazing interwebs and were usaully pictures of 1680x1050 or higher resolution i ran it for awhiel and even increased my save file to about 20 mb by runnign around generating new content but yeah the terrain file when i rezize it is 4090x4090 makes it about 167mb in size so it does take alot more memory but i have a great computer i built it abotu 3 months ago for playing mmos so minecraft doesnt tax it terribly much ty for the 128x128 template ill upsize it and see what it does

That's terriffic!
Note that patching the client to 256 automatically up-rezzes all the texture files that Minecraft uses, so simply playing the patched client is a full test of using all files at the new resolution.
I'm glad to hear it works well! You should posy some screen caps showing it off. I don't think that anyone else is working on a 256 pack.
ill post a screeny when i get most of them done, it looks weird atm cause i have about half changed over and when your runnign around you get the nice textures then youll see the 16x16 on and it just ruins it lol
im actually working on a 256 pack. what helps is when u drag across the block of area u are working at, it should be exactly 256 x 256 pixel. if u resized the original image by 200 percent every time, which i assume u did, u would be in the correct ratio anyway. i cant seem to get mine to work after the newest update. mcpatcher is not working anymore... how did u go around this?
