i really hate when people do this. you post mock ups and not a link. this is like the 9000th thread ive seen of this ********. i think this is why they shouldnt allow WIP here.
Due to the word "Advanced" & Things you didn't want in i had a few ideas:
* Obsidian Armor (With Stands Longer than Iron but not as long as Diamond)
* Obsidian Hoe (With Stands longer than Iron but not as long as Diamond and Finds Seeds Just as Fast as Iron)
* Obsidian Block (Same as Diamond or Gold Block (Gives back 9 Obsidian, 9 Obsidian to Make))
* Coal Block (Same as Diamond or Gold Block but Can be used as fuel (Burns just as long as 9 Coal)(Gives back 9 Obsidian, 9 Obsidian to Make))
NOTE: to keep people from getting angry release this gradually with patches and etc. or people will either forget or despise this topic.

This is a side project, and takes no where NEAR the amount of time I put into my Warcraft IV mod. In fact, most of this stuff took me about 4 hours to make (including sprites + coding).
By the way, do I know you or are you just a member of TheHelper.net?

By new mobs I mean new mobs like Dragons.
You can also add a stronger dragon boat

Dragon scales.. That's got to be the must uncreative material that's been floating around Minecraft lately.

It's just a mod, I'm not distributing the client in any way or form. It's just like any other project for Minecraft out there.
Extended uses for materials is a win, you are well on the way with the "obsidian tools and rods ect"
Various types of bombs would be epic as well, but your already on track with the "slime bomb"
May i suggest extending the interactivity of "block on block" type of things.
Though figure out how to make a projected Beam and make it highly interactive and you have a win. Make this beam do some drastic things and get effected by many things. The reason im not saying exactly what this beam is, is to let your own imagination make it as "open" of a idea as possible. The only real hint is that, 3 towers positioning this beam could be real "powerful" shall we say. Just my small suggestion, you may or may not use.

Dude. What the hell? First, nobody told you to come to this topic. If someone did, they didn't make you. Second, 9000? How amazing. Third, why not put WIP? Technically, every mod that is updated is a work in progress. IN FACT, MINECRAFT ITSELF IS A WIP. So what I'm trying to say is that you should stop being a troll. This is a very promising idea. Why the hell is a WIP thread so bad while you probably don't even care about request or idea threads?
On topic: This is, as I said ^, very promising. The whole Obsidian glass = epic, the tools...not really necessary but interesting like a technology improvement or something. I would seriously welcome this into the game itself. But that's just me and my intense fascination with changing the norm and making things complicated.

Amen. Mods make the game 10x better. With out mods the game sucks.
ive never really liked mods that give superior abilities or something like that, but something like this gives me more incentive to explore caves in search of "dragon scales" and to find obsidian and things like that. mods like this only lengthen the playability, not hinder it
Genius. Except a part of the dragon scale. Diamond destroys stuff fast enough. The thing with dragon tools is that it should have lots more durability then diamond, and destroys obsidian and redstone a bit faster. Having to destroy block types with one hit will be annoying.
