Hey Zan, could you please take a moment to at least try to duplicate the problem I have mentioned? I am concerned I'm just being outright ignored as having my own problem and that it's not your mod. But I'm certain it is a bug in the mod, just something that is not happening to a vast majority of people because they probably just set a zoom level they like and play normally, never messing with it.
Indeed, the majority of the time, this is how it goes for me. I can play for hours without a single hiccup, as long as I'm not using the minimap zoom alot. But sometimes I use the big minimap extensively for surveying, especially on SMP servers as I figure where I want to start.. And it will lock up when I change the zoom too much, or sit too long in the big minimap screen. Consistently.
It's not a conflict on my end. Please, just try it, even if you are just going to be AFK for a while.. Load a game up, put it on the max size minimap (0.5x), and let it sit like that for a bit. Come back later, and I bet it's locked up. If you can see that it crashes, maybe you'll try to figure out what's wrong. It's probably something very obscure.
I'm trying to help iron this out because it does happen when I am too aggressive with the zoom key. I'd like to see it recognized and fixed. It doesn't happen often, but it's a real issue. Please someone vindicate me here. Try what I'm saying. It takes only about 2 minutes for my game to lockup in this manner.
Can you please turn the random colors off for selecting the waypoint color. It's really annoying because I sometimes want a certain color which I can never get because of this. -__-

I normally leave it on 0.5x and have never had it lockup like you've said, so I left it on the full-screen map for an hour while I went out for dinner, still was fine when I got back. Also considering that you're the only person who's mentioned this so far, I do believe that it is in fact related to your PC. I'd say you're maxing out the allocated ram for Java, which happens to exceed the amount of ram available on your PC. If your PC only has 2GB of RAM, this is entirely possible, since Minecraft is allocated 1GB.

I agree with this as well. It's awesome how many color variations there are, but because there are so many, it's easy to get spamming on the left click to look for the one you want, and then pass it up.
If you could make it so right click on the color would go backwards through the list, that would be great. I've seen this in other games with similar systems for choosing colors. Left click cycle forward, right click cycle backwards.

Ok then. Just one minor quibble, the person I initially responded to when entering this thread also had the same problem. It was why I chose his message to respond to, on entering the thread. Since he seemed to have the exact same problem when fiddling with the minimap, as he put it.
But I do only have 2GB of ram, and since no one else has said they have the same problem, I will accept it must be something on my end. Thank you for responding.
Zan I really need help, I do everything right, I download the Self Installer to My Desktop, Run it, It open's In the Command Prompt and I hit "1" and Enter and I get this :
C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Temp\Zan097\Zan097 :no such file or directory

I'm having a problem getting the IRC bot to connect to my network. Unfortunately, my DC filters port 6667, the default IRC port. I'm trying to connect on 6665, but there's no setting in the zmod.txt and I can't find a way to kludge it into the .jar.

I'll add that to the next update, sometime within a few hours.
How do I uninstall this? I tried deleting everything on my computer with the word "zan" in it, but I can't get rid of it.

About 2 hours ago, the feature where the map spins when i turn directions stopped working, so if i turn 90 degrees to the right, it doesn't show that in the minimap. Help?!
Thanks for fixing that floating block bug with the MiniMap (I wondered which mod was causing that), and adding coloured waypoint arrows. Is it possible to apply the colours to the waypoint flag also in a future update?

Delete your minecraft.jar file located in: C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin and then it will reinstall it without the mod
