I installed the map again after the update, and now my heds up display is missing.
also a friend accidentally hit the "install Modloader thing on his map installer, and now his MC crashes every time he tries to start a game. please help
I'm getting this error too - and I'm really not sure why.So far I've tried:
1. Deleting bin folder and re-installing it (Didn't work)
2. Deleting Resources and bin folder and re-installing it (Didn't work)
3. Deleting entire .minecraft folder and re-installing it (Didn't work)
I'm really at a loss here. I'm going to try re-downloading the installer, in hopes that maybe mine was just corrupted or something. If it still doesn't work I'll post in here again.
edit:
I've fixed it, although I'm not entirely sure how. I deleted my Bin folder, and the entirety of my Downloads folder (almost 4 Gb.) and re-installed it. It works now - I'm fairly certain it wasnt due to lack of space on my HD seeing as I had around 14 Gb left. Since I've gotten it to work, I've installed (In this order) successfully: Zans Minimap, Single Player commands, MrMMods Betterlight and Bettergrass, McRegion, and finally GLSL Shader. They all work fine now.

You invade this pristine world, Claiming it as your own simply by your presence. You slaughter innocent animals for their hides and flesh. You devastate the landscape and gouge out the Earth to build your monuments to vanity... yet you call me the monster? I hope you perish by everything you have ruined on this peaceful land.
I'm run OSX 10.6.6 and don't know how to manual install, if that would even solve this problem. I've oblivious closed Minecraft in order to install the mod, and then closed everything else just to see if that was the problem. Still nothing. Help please?
it appears when i install this with zans mod it stop the red arrow/terrain moving on the minimap. i am not sure if there is a way to fix this i would appreciate it
thanks chrismack

is there a new patch for minimap and optiminer .. or will the old one still work
I don't know if it was just my installation or if it was actually the optiminer thing, but when I had both going, I noticed that my waypoint flags followed me where I went, but trying without the optiminer (fresh install with all the others bar optimier) and the flags stayed put :smile.gif:
but did you use the old patch for ZanMinimap.class from 0.95 that was up there to make 0.95 work with optiminer v2 .. not just the ZanMinimap.class from the mod 0.96
I don't know if this has been said or noticed yet, but there appears to be a minor bug. Sandstone appears to be marked by transparency on the minimap, so wherever sandstone is, you can see through the minimap. Could you fix this please?
Dont know if anyone has addressed this issue yet, but I seem to run into serious crashes when switching between the zooms. The mod works fine if i leave it alone, but after I've been tinkering with the zoom for a few minutes, it'll cause minecraft to black screen, and severely slow all other processes down.
It makes it extremely difficult to end any program, and in the end results in a system restart. Don't know if anyone else has encountered this problem.
Hi all, I'm new here, I registered to post on this subject, because I have the same problem as this poster.
I did spend a couple of hours last night reading threads all over this forum, and other places, to fully understand the modding process for this game.
I'm currently using a fresh install of minecraft, with only the Zan's minimap mod. I have deleted the META-INF folder as well. (I also tried it many different ways, with and without modloader, etc).
The game works fine most of the time, and the minimap is AWESOME. However, I will occasionally just black screen lock up. And it's usually when I'm fiddling with the mini map zoom. It happens just rarely enough to be something I'd rather deal with than uninstall the minimap, but also just often enough to be a little annoying.
I ended up where I can duplicate the problem, and wanted to offer my experience on it to try to help fix it.
Basically, if I load up the game, and load a save game (or even on SMP) and then hit the map zoom key until it's at 0.5 or whatever (the one with the big minimap that fills almost the whole screen). If I do that, and just leave it sit like that, within a minute or so I will get a black screen (music/sound still plays) and "program is not responding" shortly after.
Now, yes, an obvious solution is not to stare at that big mini-map for a minute at a time. But this was just my way of duplicating the bug repeatedly. It happens during normal play too. And as I said, usually when I'm rapidly changing map zoom levels.
Also, I like to use the big mini map to really take in my surroundings and plan things. I'd like to be able to sit and look at it extensively without a problem.
Anyhow, I love this mod, and can't live without it anymore. But the crashing is annoying me, and I hoped maybe someone has some insight, or that I can help to figure out why this happens. Perhaps it's something specific to certain systems or something, etc. Anything I can do to help.

I've asked if the old ZanMinimap_Opimine patch is still compatable with the lastest ZanMinimap and the latest Optimine
so please READ PRIOR TO POSTING
Im still only half awake :smile.gif:

Thanks, Seive.
It's for version 1.1_02 only. Not the latest version (1.2_02).
