I want to build things in Minecraft just for fun, and I was wondering if there is a program that someone knows of where you can plan out a structure before you actually start building it in Minecraft. Thanks.
I remember using a japanese program.. Blockcube or something. It had blocks, just like minecraft, and you could insert you're terrain.png and it would use that terrain.
Except you can't easily plan something in creative mode. Like, being able to rotate the structure and easily point and click to get ideas and whatnot and easily figure out how many blocks is needed to look good.
if you have legos try using them, a 2x2 lego block is a single block in minecraft, and a 2x4 lego block would be 2 blocks in minecraft...
That wouldn't quite work. 2x2 lego blocks aren't cubes. I forget the conversion rate, but I think the height of a lego block is about 25% taller than its width and length, so it would look different as legos compared to Minecraft's blocks.

MineDraft. It's only 2D though.

You heard that, green and red.
I use http://www.printfreegraphpaper.com/ with the settings at Cartesian, Letter 8.5x11, 1/10 inch. It works great.
