but underneath it says supports both single player and multiplayer? Is this just left over from previous edits or am I missing something? Talking about the download link.

This is either a bug, a mis-documented feature, or a "CG's not doing it right":
The "collect empty" tag on a sign only seems to behave properly when paired with the "collect only" tag - the wiki says that they can be used together, not that they must be used together. :smile.gif:
Has anyone else been getting crashing after updating? If I log in and it updates after I have this mod installed, it seems to make my game crash anytime I load it. And I don't mean I get a black screen, I instead get a Java error "minecraft java(tm) platform se binary has stopped working." This happened with the last update as well. I only managed to fix it both times by deleting my entire minecraft directory and reinstalling it all from scratch (minus backing up my worlds).

I can attest to doing it correctly and ending up with a black screen. For some reason, the mod installer has been corrupting my minecraft.jar files. I ended up fixing it by reverting to the unmodded .jar file and manually installing the mod.

I would... except that it doesn't work right now, so what's the point? It is currently working only for the client, and does not work on multiplayer SMP.
I like the idea and you did some awesome work there. The vanilla booster mechanism and the whole minecart system isn't exactly great. However, I'd like to have gold / slow sand tracks instead. Placing blocks underneath them isn't too great I think, as it's not exactly looking that nice. You could say, having a gold track suddenly in between looks strange as well.. I guess it does, but it's better than having a gold block in your stone ground or something. At least for me.
Anyway, the features are great. I hope they are in some form added to the game in the future.
This idea has been tossed around before. It's possible, but Afforess doesn't like adding new items. If notch does it (or if someone makes an addon mod for this one) it would be easy to mark booster/braking tracks marked by things like little lights on them or something.

Maintaining a server version is extremely difficult with the amount of code changes that Notch is making, so a non-Hey0 mod is out of the question until the updates cool off. Sorry.

There needs to be a way to collect passing empty minecarts while also allowing the chest to dispense minecarts.
Minecart mania on smp is currently majorly bugged.
Minecarts are vanishing after 10 seconds, minecarts constantly vanish and then reappear, and chests always dispense carts in the same direction regardless of what the sign says.
But keep up the good work. I hope to see a bug free Minecart Mania soon =D
EDIT: Do the directions have to be capitalized like "North" or is it "north"?
