I worte a little script that first generates a map image with cartographer then crops designated sections. It also timestamps the image. I also use a public web folder for output and run the .bat daily with tasks.
You need Cartographer and http://www.imagemagick.org command line for this to work. Read the image magick crop help doc for info on that. It's difficult to crop and you may need to change your coordinates if the map expands (i haven't noticed a problem yet).
