Actually he makes perfect sense. If someone makes a huge room (hall, temple, whatever)in a MC classic server it WILL lag due to all the rendered blocks. It doesn't have Alpha's optimizations.
Now there's two ways to do this.
Either track down the old version of MinerCPP (custom server software for classic)
or wait for someone to code a resizer (most likely based on nearest neighbor) for classic
You can resize a map, but remember two things:
1. There is no way to scale a map. You will have to delete large sections of the map to make it smaller.
2. Your map dimensions have to be a power of 2. 256, 512, 1,024 and 2,048 are likely relevant numbers for your needs.
And people, if you don't understand and you see another post asking for clarification don't make another post saying you are confused. It's spam and if it gets out of hand I will give warnings for it.

Don't they have size limits?
I ment a room in a server for Classic. I want to change the demensions because it's so big, it lags too much.

No, it is not possible to resize a map.
You can crop them, but that will lose "contents".
But than again, if you're using classic, I'm not sure..
Classic maps are generated all at once.
They have to have dimensions of powers of 2 (128 256 512 1024 2048 etc)
