I'm not sure at all what is causing this, but I made a water area 175 by 480 by 192, and it did this:
I have no idea what happened, but everything past those walls should be normal ocean. Also, if you don't notice, the last few rows of water simply do >>>not render if you were above the water. If anyone has any ideas as to how to fix this, that would be greatly appreciated.
Pretty sure it has to do with the maps dimensions not being multiples of 16. Has happened to me a few times as well. Adjust the dimensions and you should be good.
If the map dimensions are not a power of 2 (64, 128, 256, etc) this will happen, and things like grass/flowers/mushrooms will not act as they should. However, if you make it a multiple of 16 (160, 176, 192, etc) the edges will no longer glitch like that, but growth will still be affected.
At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works. Correct me if I'm wrong, anybody.
Ah, I knew 2 had something to do with it. I was thinking it had to be 16 times 2x, where x is equal to any number less than what will make your computer explode, but I wasn't sure. I think if you stick to those numbers (16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, etc.), you will be fine.
