I'm trying to recreate the vanilla glass block in my 1.16.5 mod and have had trouble with the glass block showing shadows.
On the attached image, the right blocks have a shadow underneath them whereas the vanilla glass does not
Here is where I register the block and give it its properties
public static final RegistryObject<Block> GLASS_VANILLA = BLOCKS.register("glass_vanilla", () -> new Block( Block.Properties .create(Material.GLASS) .hardnessAndResistance(1.0f, 6.0f) .sound(SoundType.GLASS) .harvestLevel(0) .harvestTool(ToolType.PICKAXE) .notSolid() ) );
And here is where I set the render type to Cutout
private void doClientStuff(final FMLClientSetupEvent event) { RenderTypeLookup.setRenderLayer(RegistryHandler.GLASS_VANILLA.get(), RenderType.getCutout()); }
