Hi, Im kind of new to coding, so while I was setting up my workspace it was stuck at decompileMC and always at 56%. I was wondering what is decompileMC and hpw to fix this irritating problem.
Try "gradlew -Dorg.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx3072m setupDecompWorkspace" (without parentheses) in Command Prompt. This worked for me when I updated my mod to 1.8 & recently 1.8.9. I got 4GB of RAM, so you should have sufficient memory.

I got a mod...go check it out. Its got guns and hats and other stuff.
Or you can use the command prompt as alex suggested - but make sure you're in the same directory (cd). Personally, I hate using the cmd on a windows machine (linux cmd > windows cmd). If this bat file doesn't work - I bet theres something wrong with your install and you should reinstall everything (java, minecraft, and forge MDK - also run mc at least once on the version your forge mod is on)
Additionally, close all other applications while running gradlew. While it doesn't make much sense to me, some computers can run gradlew with 1GB of ram and get everything done (like my laptop). My tablet, however, required me to use this bat file to increase the RAM.

Thank You guys I found a solution, You must go to control panel and search Java and you will enter the Java control panel, click Java in the Java control Panel and in runtime parameters, put -Xmx2G. I was using EphraimFE's command that he gave me. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME.
I know that was 3 years ago, but if someone can come back to this I will be glad, because I have same problem. I did everything that guys said and it is still not working... Help me, please!

Make a .bat file in the same folder as gralew.bat in your MDK directory.
