I am working on a mod with a costum block in the size of 1x2x2 and I have problems setting up the collision boxes to cover up the space. Can someone explain to me how to do that properly? (with source code if possible)
bounding boxes do not work well when bigger than 1 block. The general solution is to place invisible TileEntity blocks in those spaces and have them pass all information to the main block.

Take a look at vanilla doors or beds.
