I need to add a few details to a model I am texturing for the It's About Time mod dev team, but, the texture map is too small to allow for the details I need to add. How would I go about making the texture map bigger, without making the model bigger?
To make a texture larger, simply rescale the image. If the sheet is 32x128 you can double the resolution to 64x256 or 128x512. As long as you scale right, should be good.
That seems to have worked, but, I have issues associated with stretching, such as transparent pixels when I don't want such pixels. Are there any decent ways to deal with the stray transparent pixels all at once? The only way I found makes texturing harder because it slightly expands the border.

Select the 'Rectangle Selection' tool in whatever program you're using, then select any spaces that are clear/you don't want, then press the delete button.
This should work for you, or am I understanding you incorrectly?
I'll try that, though there is also a bit of bleeding into the other boxes.
I also would like a way to clear all transparent pixels at once, since some of these models are fairly complicated and have many parts. I use Paint.net, but, I would gladly use something else if it had such an option.
