So I have made a custom stick item, but how do I render it in the hand properly?
After some searching through the source code, like tools rendering in the hand, I have come to the conclusion that I need to extend a vanilla class, but what class should I extend?
Well I assume that the rendering is taken care of ny base classes, you just need to extend them to your item. For a pickaxe, it's something like "YourClass extends ToolPickaxe", so I would go ahead and extend the hoe class or something and tinker with that.

But wouldnt extending the hoe class allow it to hoe grass?
You probably need to call setFull3D() on your Item after instantiating it to make it render like the Stick does (this is what Minecraft does in the Item.registerItems method).

Thanks, that worked!
