Every time I try to set up forge through terminal on a mac, I get an error about java heap space. I've tried changing the java options in the gradle file but that hasn't worked either. Last time I encountered this error I used a command in terminal along the lines of JAVA_OPTIONS="-Xmx1024m" and that fixed the issue, but it hasn't been working now. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Erm... what do you mean, "setup forge"? Is this for Forge source, Forge server, or a Minecraft client?
If it's a server or client, this is the wrong wrong section of forum to get help with that.
If it's for source, you set the heap size in your IDE Run configuration. I know that for Eclipse, there is already a generous default - 1024m I believe. If you're not using an IDE though, then I'm not sure sorry.
