Basically, I have a furnace-like block, and I want to make it so that other modders can add items to the "smelting" recipes, much like how the macerator (or however you spell it) from IC2 works, I am not currently using forge, but I could if I could use it to do this if I need to, but I would like to know how to do it with just modloader for now.
Switching to Forge is ALWAYS a good idea. If your block have a Recipes class, other mods can just add to it like you'd do with the vanilla smelting recipes.
Yeah, I am thinking I will switch to forge after 1.5, which should be very soon, then I don't have to switch then update, I can do it all at once, but I really am not sure what forge lets a person do, but in the mean time, it would be nice to figure out how to do it without forge, but if I don't figure it out in the next weak or so, then I am just going to use forge to do it.
