Would you guys care to see the existing code? I just don't remember how to prepare it for installation. I know how to install mods, but I don't remember how to extract the working files.
Oh, and just for cutter:
if you'd rather read than watch http://docs.oracle.c...avase/tutorial/ java's written tutorials. And really a quick look through the code reveals problems use a . instead of a ; to access class variables but of course thats basic java (I was trying not to sound rude but its hard not to with that kind of code and knowledge)
A few more errors have arisen, and I'm not sure what I'm missing.
Can someone double-check my code?
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Map;
import java.util.Random;
public class mod_Lime extends BaseMod{
//declaring
public static final Item CaO = new ItemCaO(127)).setIconIndex(ModLoader.addOverride("items.png", "Prelime.png").setItemName("CaO");
public void load(){
//sets the name of the block
ModLoader.AddName(CaO, "Calcium Oxide");
//creates a crafting recipe for our block
ModLoader.addRecipe(new ItemStack(mod_Lime.CaO, 1), new Object[] {"##", '#', mod_Lime2.Hotcoal});
}
}
//sets the version number of our whole mod
public String getVersion(){
return "New mod v0.1";
}
also, you clearly didnt finish the tutorials if your still wondering why your getting errors by missing curly brackets and using incorrect naming conventions. your link from before made no sense either, why did you say that a 1.3.1 installation video was for me?
Because you asked for my source. And don't pester me to watch 9+ hours of goddamn videos. Any more and I'll just delete the comment.Oh, and when you scan through dozens of lines of code in notepad, you don't always have some magical elf jump up and yell "RIGHT THERE! IT SHOULD BE RIGHT THERE!! FIX IT!!!".
Damn crash report....
No errors, just this. Says Modloader won't engage.

I do apologize for cutter, and for myself. I swear, most of us aren't that mean, and I try to help, but I am snarky at times.
Oh, and just for cutter:
Posted a page for it.
Thought of several dozen things to do.
