Need to get the co-ords of a newly placed block

Does anyone know how to get the co-ords of a block when a player has placed it, for both survival AND creative mode?

I have been looking through PlayerControllerSP, and the i,j,k there seem to be the block clicked but since blockActivated points to a hard coded return false. I cant get any father, ALSO PlayerControlerSP seems to be ignored for creative.
