Hi, I am a big fan of the pack and the experience it has provided me up to this point, it's clear that you have spent a great deal of time on it and you're one of the reasons the modpack community keeps thriving. I've however hit a point in the pack where I can no longer move forward in the pack (after 400hrs) so I've come to give some feedback about it.
Sorry for the incoming wall of text. TL:DR Zivideccos/Empty dimension tablets are in a bad state.
I finished the draconic evolution 2 days ago, and while I always knew i needed 2 empty dimension tablets to further progress into the next chapter, I did not expect this amount of timesink when starting a new chapter. I've run a imaginery time block minicio farm and a wither spawner since the beginning of thaumcraft, at that point I maybe killed 1 wither / 15sec, so I wasn't gaining much zivicio at that point
The Zividecco problem
You need 20,480 mass zivicio blocks to create the 8 zividecco needed to get a dimension builder + another empty tab.
Currently I have 5 master infusion stones, and a wither farm doing 15 withers per 1,5sec. My minicio farm could keep up with 3 master stones doing accio and one doing the rest of the essences, with 4 master stones doing accio my farm is falling just a little short of full crafting uptime for all the stones.
To process your proposed 1 zividecco / 2,7 hours you would need at least 7 master infusion stones.
I did a benchmark while I slept, in the 12 hours I was away from the computer i gained 9,870 mass zivicio blocks, which is 822,5 mass blocks per hour.
To match your theory of 2,7 hours per zividecco, my current setup gives 0,86 zividecco in 2,7 hours. To gain the 8 Zividecco needed I need to run my setup for nearly 25 hours. This is not reasonable for the entry of a chapter. I did see that some of the dimension quest gives some ziviocto/onto/deccos but to get there you still need to get through the initial 8 zivideccos.
This is only time gating, and anyone on a single player world would just stop at this point.
Most people would not even have the setup I have because of how resource demanding is, I can't even be at my farm anymore, block breaks take a good 10 seconds to proccess over there, thank god i put it outside of render distance. So expanding further to increase speed is not viable, it's to resource taxing.
If i expanded my farm i could also do more master infusion stones, but having already spent 40 awakened cores on the current ones I think that should be more than enough, the required 200 wyvern cores for my current infusion stones took 8 hours to produce on a perfect setup.
I'm not a pack designer but I'll present you with some suggestions:
1. change the 5:1 Massblock:ziviuno to a 1:1 ratio. This might be crude, but just giving you 5 ziviunos out of the 5 mass blocks would cut this time required down to 5hours with a good setup, and since my setup is so over the top I might still think this is a bit much. This also would mean converting back from ziviuno to mass blocks would yield 1 mass block.
The downside with this approach is that you also change the balancing of the infinity catalyst, but that might even be a good thing.
2. Change the dimlet tab recipe so that it uses Zivisepto/Zivioctos instead.
If the dimlets were made with ziviseptos I could have started with chapter 11 almost right out of the gate with the mass zivicio blocks i had from 2nd wither farm that I built at the beginning of draconic evolution.
3 quick more remarks.
Infusion times
I saw that the infusion recipes differ on easy mode and hard mode, you should really change this so that both modes share essentia costs, the gathering of the extra essentia is negligent in difficulty and all you do besides that is double the time it takes to infuse something, this again is just kind of pointless timegating, you add no complexity because getting that extra piece of ignis for another witches oven is so much of a non issue you're just bumping up the times stand around doing nothing.
I had one idea for this, and it may be pointless if you end up reducing the essentia costs, but you could do with adding a few more recipes to the botania altar, it's much quicker for the most part and you don't need ALL endgame recipes to be on the infusion altar, no one enjoys infusions after the first 30 times.
Cotton seeds
I think air runes are currently a problem because there is no back conversion for the cotton, a 1:1 cotton to cotton seed recipe could help with this, with wheat i could always grind it down to seeds but with cotton I'd have to build a block placer/breaker with crop sticks and let it spread to gain more seeds.
Lambcrystals
My current approach to lambcrystals is that i run 4 octadic powered sheep spawners and turn them on whenever I go cook/do dishes or whatever and come back and throw chakrams at them in wolf form (or later on with draconic i just used the staff of power with the aoe on), anyways this is a way to get around 2k lambchops in 15minutes of spawn waiting, given that they are somewhat obtainable I would suggest moving the duplication recipe to the regular crafting table. I think this would encourage the automation more, because I don't think anyone will set up a separate infusion altar/claw when they are so obtainable when the wolf curse is still on.
And I think that wraps up my current thoughts/issues with the pack at this point. Great work on the pack, I think the entry to the 11th chapter is an oversight that you can and hopefully want to fix.
Oh and btw you don't need a autonomous activator to activate witchery rituals like it says in the faq, they respond to redstone signals
I bet you like seeing people showing off builds and stuff so I include this video of my critter snare setup.

In reply to Curious9:
First of all, thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad you've been enjoying so far. I thinkI have some useful advice to give.
The Zividecco problem:
I believe most of the frustration comes from needing to create a lot of Empty Dimension Tabs.
Now, you don't need to make a new Empty Dimension Tab every time you want to create a new RFTools dimension. You can simply use the Dimension Enscriber to extract the dimension with every custom Dimlet you have used to create it, so you can reuse the Empty Dimension Tab again.
I did want Zividecco to be difficult to acquire, and I have nerfed it since I've originally made the modpack. It used to cost 3 of the previous Zivi~ Essence to upgrade each one to the next Zivi~ type, then soon after it was nerfed to only 2.
I have tested the pack, and even though it was tough to acquire that much Zividecco, I did manage to pull it off. I used about 16-20 on RFTools, and a ton more for Infinity Catalysts. But with some quest rewards I think it's reasonable to get this much Zividecco.
I made 16 huge fields (11x11) of Minico in the Last Millenium, and used an AgriCraft Farming station for each setup. Imaginary Time Blocks give a huge boost, but I also used ~250 layers of Growth Pulsars, a lot of Reinforced Watering Cans in Autonomous Activators, and obviously used 10/10/10 Seeds. The Growth Pulsars and Watering Cans might not seem to have much effect at first, because the Imaginary Time Block is too good, but they actually do. Make sure to use those too.
With that setup I was able to get enough Zividecco by the end of the pack. (Again, consider that you don't need that many Empty Dimension Tabs.)
Infusion Times
Personally I had 8 Infusion Altars and some of them were constantly busy because of AE requesting automated items through Level Emittors. If you automate every Infusion recipe fully, and do other stuff while it's constantly crafting in the background, you should have no issue getting all the resources crafted by them,
Cotton Seeds
Use an Autonomous Activator that constantly bonemeals an area, and another that breaks the tall grass with a Horn of the Wild. Then collect all the seeds with a couple Vacuum Chests. This is a ridiculously fast way to obtain a lot of the most common Seed types. This does include Cotton Seeds.
Lambcrystals
If your method works for you, I don't see the problem here.
There is the option to duplicate them, but if you don't want to use that, just think that there is no duplication recipe at all. With the above mentioned Infusion Altar automation, I personally used the duplication recipe.

I did want Zividecco to be difficult to acquire
Cotton seeds and lambcrystals were just minor gripes I had, but the problems I have with Zividecco is not one of difficulty, but one of time. Pressing a button and waiting 20-25hours is not in any way linked with actual difficulty just time, same with the infusion differences from EASY to HARD, the names suggest that the hard recipes is well, harder, but the reality is they simply take longer (when just talking about essentia).
In contrast of that we have the things that are actually difficult to do, like fully automating the draconic core, which require a good deal of mod knowledge and ingenuity, and none of those things required are hard because they take long time to do, hell I can let my critter snare setup run for an hour and be done with my critter snare needs for the rest of the pack, but I still had to set it up.
Do you really want people to wait around for 25 hours after they kill the chaos dragon? In my opinion this is just feigned difficulty,
Either way I'm soon done with my 8 first 'Deccos but for the sake of people approaching that point I still think you should change it, just because something is doable given enough time doesn't mean it's balanced correctly. One of the recent patches buffed the draconic core and you know need 3 less bat snares per core, if there was enough reason for that buff I think there is enough reason to change the start of the 11th chapter, but that's just my 5 cents.
I think what I'm trying to say is when you reach this point in the pack, if you have a medium ranged priced, brand new computer, your world would still die while striving for the RFTools dimensions and I don't think that have a place in any pack.
That's all I have to say, I'm always hesitant to criticize work that people does for free, but I just felt like this feedback was extremely valid and any changes made to this would benefit the pack. Thanks again for your hard work.
EDIT: I also noticed you put the phrase "simply" when talking about the dimension enscriber, I would not say that so flippantly seeing as you need ANOTHER 8 zividecco to craft it. That's 16 zividecco you need to start actually building dimensions, that's near 44 hours with your math. Do you really expect people to wait for 44 hours for getting into that chapter, even if it's possible to set up mentioned build you CANNOT speed this process up in any feasible way.
EDIT 2: I'm partly wrong about needing 16 because after doing the builder and the enscriber you can unlock some of the QDS quests and you don't need to make worlds to turn in many of them, so getting another zivideccos from quest at this point is somewhat trivial.
EDIT 3(kappa): I've now realized you can do multiple of the same recipe in a crafter and that greatly improves the crafting speed of all the essences, you can almost certainly get away with 2 master infusion stones if one level 3 crafter has 7 internal accio recipes and one recipe that does accio blocks to external, then another crafter who has 2 or 3 crucio recipes set to internal, along with internal imperio and zivicio, and zivizio blocks on external. There is still the issue about harvesting enough minicio without bringing the world down with lag though.
soooo, I was tinkering around and typing the command /give Playername Thaumcraft:itemshard 1 7 make it so I can't enter my world, it just crashes my whole game. any ideas?

/xu_killitems is the command that solved this for me when i had the same issue. It's pretty doubtful that it's gonna work on a single player world (since you're crashing before you can input anything) so you're gonna have to install a server with your world to run that command, then overwrite your sp world with the world that you ran killitems on. I suggest that you rename your sp world to world_old before doing this so you have the recent backup if anything bad happens.
Alternatively you can use a tool like MCEdit to move your character out of the item render range to be able to log in and run /xu_killitems.
Also there is no itemshard item in thaumcraft with the metadata 7
im trying to set up a minecraft server with this modpack but i keep getting crashes after i followed the steps on page 1 can some one help me?

First of all for the cobweb i put it one block up and aiming low so it never replaces the water, and a torch on the block above it so that it blocks the second cobweb but do not block the mutating sprigs "click". illustrated here https://i.imgur.com/8YfqtZe.png
You can probably also do it with a RFTools builder, building only the cobweb, if you put that in a shape card the builder does not be near the actual build to place the cobweb.
The zombies are inserted from below and "float" up to the cobweb, it's their natural behaviour since they are looking for air. I tried having them dropped from above but it seems like they blocked the line of sight for the mutating sprig to activate the cobweb.
Hello, a couple of weeks ago my twitch app updated on my mac book. Many of the modpacks stopped working and crashed, e.g. Agrarian Skies 1/2, Regrowth, etc. However I was able to play Divine Journey just fine. Yesterday my mac book updated it-s OS to High Sierra 10.13.1 and Divine Journey just stopped working, it loads right to main title screen and then not only the game crashes but it makes the mac book crash. I quite new to mac books, i've always had Windows as OS, and I haven't been able to find anything online about this problem. an anyone help me out? I do have the latest version of Java installed.
Im a little curious do you plan to add some other mod in your pack?
Dont get me wrong, the Divine Journey is a great pack and it is already have a most quests than ever pack I saw.
And I know, it is already ~150 mods - a lot of and it is middleweighted for most configs.
But... I do not propose, only asking, may be you already thinking about add some other interesting stuff?
Like... Rotarycraft, or Mariculture, or Arsmagica, or Forestry (I know, you answered before : you don't like bees;)) or some addons, like Witching Gadgets ? in your
Crash # 1: https://pastebin.com/FZedAzNT
This happens when a player inserts any item into the Farming station with a shift-click. I downgraded the EnderIO version to 248_beta, but I do not think this is the right solution.
I'm having an issue with the script for the Tesseract. I deleted the bit that forced the smeltery craft, to allow it to also be crafted the standard TE way. But randomly, that change goes away and it defaults back to the smeltery-only crafting recipe. Is there a way to make sure that change is permanent?
Edit: Sorry, I see someone else had a similar problem. I'll try that and see if it helps.
Nope, reloading minetweaker didn't work. I did go into a LAN world with cheats, and it reloaded successfully, but no luck. I removed just the script dealing with the Full Tesseract Frame, and left the modded crafting of the empty frame and completed Tesseract. I may try just reverting the entire Tesseract process back to vanilla TE and see if that does anything. Not sure why it would, but I know next to nothing about modding.
Quick question: I don't know what that status bar is on the lower right, I only ever see it move right after login. I need to relocate either it or the thaumcraft script. Can anyone tell me how to do either?
Unfortunately, the quest "INTO THE DUNGEONS!" counts only the key without NBT-tags. It turns out that it's available only for the player who entered in this dimension first (actually for servers with a large number of players).
I wrote a script (with tooltips) that transforms keys with other NBT-tags into the key for the quest to be able:
# Runic key transformation
recipes.addShapeless(<runicdungeons:item.key>, [<runicdungeons:item.key:*>.noReturn()]);
# Tooltip Info
<runicdungeons:item.key:1>.addTooltip(format.aqua("Can be transformed by crafting to"));
<runicdungeons:item.key:1>.addTooltip(format.aqua("be able to complete the quest."));
<runicdungeons:item.key:2>.addTooltip(format.aqua("Can be transformed by crafting to"));
<runicdungeons:item.key:2>.addTooltip(format.aqua("be able to complete the quest."));
I am curious about the Osmotic enchanter bug that forced you to disable it (I really like Osmotic enchanter). Isn't it somehow related to this bug https://github.com/Thaumic-Tinkerer/ThaumicTinkerer/issues/666? Divine journey uses version 162 of Thaumic Tinkerer and the mentioned bug should be fixed in TT version 163 and higher. Could updating TT fix the issue and bring Osmotic enchanter back?
Been really enjoying this pack (which I usually don't like grindy packs, but tech progression is a huge plus). I was looking at an earlier post about the timesink needed for zividecco and wyvern cores. I do kinda agree that it's a bit much, mostly because I'm playing on a server (Ender IO farms crash on servers! And even just 1 Imaginary Time Block + 4 harvesters, which struggles to keep up, is a little laggy, and the server doesn't take to lag very well - tends to crash). Plus, there's a few players that have already killed a few Chaos Guardians, so getting the needed shards may be a bit harder for me (and I only have maybe 2-ish hours most days to play, so they're long since finished), then even harder for the last player playing on the server, whose Internet doesn't exactly like trans-Atlantic journeys apparently). For the Zivicio, my farm is getting 1 every 30 seconds (I have a wither farm that could give me 1 every 5 seconds if I have more imaginary time blocks for the wither skele and soulsand farms). So, either I'd have to be that one player that keeps the server up for the next year (:p), or build 30+ farms that crashes the server...
I'm definitely going to play this again on SP, but yeah, there's some things that just don't seem server friendly (we had to give out free Runic Dungeon keys because it's a server-wide dungeon, not player specific). Might be a few things I change for myself, too.
Actually, I'm now wondering if the Witchery boss that is in a maze is server specific or player specific...
"View your items Wirelessly!" quest is broken, i have a fully working ME system and everything is working perfectly, but when i try to link the wireless terminal it won't change from Unlinked to Linked
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And great job on the Witchery automation setups! They seem to function absolutely flawlessly.
There is still the issue about harvesting enough minicio without bringing the world down with lag though.
soooo, I was tinkering around and typing the command /give Playername Thaumcraft:itemshard 1 7 make it so I can't enter my world, it just crashes my whole game. any ideas?
Anyone know how to change my user name?

Not sure if game-breaking, but you can skip making your first Thaumcraft wand by killing Pechs (they drop a wand with a foci on it)
im trying to set up a minecraft server with this modpack but i keep getting crashes after i followed the steps on page 1 can some one help me?

does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Thanks
Hi Atricos!
Like... Rotarycraft, or Mariculture, or Arsmagica, or Forestry (I know, you answered before : you don't like bees;)) or some addons, like Witching Gadgets ? in your
Divine Journey 2 may be?)
Hi Atricos and community!
I have some troubles with modpack
Crash # 1: https://pastebin.com/FZedAzNT
This happens when a player inserts any item into the Farming station with a shift-click. I downgraded the EnderIO version to 248_beta, but I do not think this is the right solution.
Crash # 2: https://pastebin.com/bQKu1Pzn
This happens randomly when a player opens up new territories in the TwilightForest' dimension.
Please, help me :3
Thx!
You should not need the smeltery to craft a tesseract. While a recipe for the smeltery may exist, you can also just use a fluid transposer.
Quick question: I don't know what that status bar is on the lower right, I only ever see it move right after login. I need to relocate either it or the thaumcraft script. Can anyone tell me how to do either?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, guys!
Sorry for my english :/
Hi Atricos!
Thanks!
Hi, can me anyone say how i can cancelling auto backups in this modpack? thx
