Hello everyone!
I have recently downloaded the Hermitpack on my PC. But it seems that my whole PC will lag A LOT while loading the modpack (probably understandable) but also, I think the lag actually stops me from joining my friends' server and also sometimes manages to lag while in the menu. I can assure you now that I probably have enough requirements to run this modpack probably but I'll put them here just in case.
Specs:
CPU - Intel i7-6700 @ 3.4Ghz
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0
Should I be worried? Any help is appreciated and if you need any more information, please do ask, I will provide it to you gladly!

Just a friendly guy who loves all sorts of geeky stuff! Ranging from coding to gaming! I also love Minecraft and its mods. Specifically, I definitely like most tech mods!
Also, even though this is unrelated, I have a Youtube Channel! You can go check it out here!
To install Optifine though, you need to downgrade a mod. Which my friends are slightly hesitant to do on the server. I can assure you that I do have 4Gb of RAM allocated. However, I have found a solution which makes things more bearable. If you decrease the heap memory (the -Xms value) from 256m to 128m, it will actually solve most optimisation problems. My friend couldn't get over 30fps with the modpack. It would also crash after a few minutes even though he had a good enough computer to run it with 4Gb of RAM allocated. But after decreasing the heap memory, it fixed all his issues. So, I guess for those players who don't want to install Optifine and downgrade mods, try decreasing the -Xms value in the launcher JVM arguments to 128m and it should make the experience a bit better!

Nope, you don't need to downgrade any mod when installing optifine, get the latest release for 1.10.2 *make sure it is not 1.10, but 1.10.2* because when the optifine fans and also the creator of optifine heard about the extra utilities issue, he updated the mod to fix it.
EDIT: I subbed to you, you seem like a nice person
Yeah I noticed that since I tried again. At first though, I was sure I was using 1.10.2... weird. I think I downloaded the latest version of Optifine by THAT time. And now since a new version is out, I may just have been unlucky with timing. Hahaha thx for the sub! I really appreciate that! I hope you'll like my content.
