Basically what this modpack does is that it adds things to the latest version of Minecraft that don't majorly affect the gameplay (like make it too easy), but can be added to improve Minecraft a bit and don't produce too much lag. I also spiced it up with the lucky block mod.
Here's a full list of the mods in the pack:
Auto Sapling: causes saplings to plant themselves instead of despawning if they're on dirt.
Base Metals: the most significant mod in the pack. It adds 10 new ores (1 of which generates in the End, and 2 of which generate in the Nether), 17 new metals, and a new tool called a crack hammer that, if you break metal or coal ore with it, will give you 2 powder drops, which you can then smelt into ingots or, in the case of coal, craft into coal blocks and then back into solid coal. Crack hammers may also give 2 diamonds per diamond ore, though I haven't tested it yet. You can also craft some of these powdered metals into alloy blends, which you can smelt into alloy ingots and craft armor with things like fire resistance and wither immunity. These are just some of the things that this mod does
Bedrock Replacer: replaces the bedrock in the world with the block of your choice. The modpack comes with this set on obsidian, but you can change this in the mod config if you want.
Bloodmoon: there's a small chance of a bloodmoon rising. During the bloodmoon, monsters will spawn faster and closer to the player, in greater numbers, and the moon and sky will turn red. By default, players can't sleep through a bloodmoon, but this can be changed in the config.
Craftable Horse Armor & Saddle: the name says it.
Craftable Name Tags: again, the name says it.
Cyclops Core: a core mod for some of the mods in this pack.
Durability Show: displays the remaining durability on any equipped tools/armor.
Ender Compass: a craftable compass that points to strongholds.
Ender Crop: you can craft ender seeds to grow and raise ender pearls.
Food Details: shows food hunger points and saturation.
Gravestone: when you die, gravestone spawns which safely contains your items (your XP still drops normally), so you don't have to worry about despawning or destruction by fire/lava. As long as you can safely get to your death point and break the gravestone, you're good to go!
Hard Mode Tweaks: you can change daylight cycle, gamerules, leaf physics (and other things). You'll probably want to disable food tweaks in the config.
Just Enough Items (JEI): pulls up a menu of items next to your inventory. If you click on an item or hit R, it shows all possible recipes for the item, and if you hit U, it displays all recipes that require the item. Good for using a bunch of mods.
Lucky Block: most of you probably know this mod. If you break a lucky block, anything could happen. Then there's the lucky sword and the lucky bow, which do something that's random, but still works toward killing targets. Finally, there are lucky potions that, if thrown, do something random. All of these lucky items can be dropped by lucky blocks.
More Anvils: allows for the crafting of gold and diamond anvils, which have higher XP caps.
Mounted Pearl: when you teleport using an ender pearl, and you're mounted on a mob, they will come with you.
Neat: displays HP and max HP on mobs to the nearest 1/10th of a point.
Reborn Core: another core mod.
Quantum Storage: adds 2 craftable blocks: a quantum storage unit that can hold an infinite stack of any one item, and a quantum tank that can hold an infinite amount of any one liquid.
SK Utilities: adds a couple more utilities.
Uncrafting Grinder: adds a grinder that will uncraft items. DO NOT use this in the current version of the modpack. There is a bug that causes the item to be destroyed instead of uncrafted. Also, I'm considering removing this mod, since even if it did work properly, it would make Minecraft kind of easy.
World Drop: allows you to add drops that allow you to drop/climb from one dimension to another. The mod pack comes with 3 drops: Overworld-Nether, Nether-Nether, and End-Overworld.
I'm looking for mod suggestions, and possibly somebody to set up a dedicated server for this modpack.
