if you can make a pillar going to the top of it as they should stop at a spot so you can make it safe from them

or if you have keepinventory on put everything into golden bags or backpacks from thermal expansion

btw this is from seeing the Yogscast play on it when one happened near them as i think the top of it was below them from where they spawned in the deep dark....

if youre alright with rather then disabling them just lowering the chances that might help but.... i also remember something saying not to spawn within something radius of the player so staying within that should also work

So I just finished it. Fun pack but has a bunch of really noticeable problems.

Quest stuff

- The early enderman quest is an utter waste of time. I saw 1 enderman in the cave dimension in my entire playthrough and never saw another one. I saw 1 in the Deep Dark, and it had over 2k hp and was basically unkillable at that stage.

- The animal quests are also kinda busted. Kill 20 bats? I saw 2 bats in my entire playthrough and setting up spawners is basically pointless since you dimension swap. Kill cave spiders? I never found a spider or cave spider spawner in my entire playthrough...guess I just cant do those quests ever.

- The bee/honey quest in the Nether is awful. I spent 5 hours searching and after finding 4 hives with no honey I just cheated for honey buckets. Screw that noise. With no jetpack, finding those things is 100% RNG and its required to progress. Utterly awful and unfun.

The end

So the end is possibly the most unsatisfying and disappointing thing I have ever encountered in a Minecraft modpack.I mean that with no disrespect, but every single pack I have played, once I "finish" I ALWAYS want to go back and do more, this I had the opposite, I want to delete it and never touch it again. As soon as I getto the end its 5 ender dragons and less than 1fps (and it absolutely isnt my PC, Ive played Ftb Infinity and dozens of other more intensive packs with no issue). It took about a dozen restarts and several complete PC restarts before I could get enough playtime to get away from the lag-dragons.

So then I kill one easily, fly over to one of the dark towers, easily kill the eye by spamming the Ender sword 100 times, do the same to a few enderman in the tower and BAM...all 3 main quests done. The jetpack reward is pointless since I had a Flux jetpack which is better. The cobble reward is pointless since I had max EMC, just like the tablet+book being pointless since well....theres nothing left to do except explore the Hardcore ender area.

AND THEN. The final quest, the ultimate thing we all want...the portals...DONT WORK. The deep dark portal didnt work in the End or in the Spectre Dimension ... And no portal to the cave world in sight.

What an utter gutpunch after all that effort. Add to that the Spectre dimension breaking something like 4-5 times for me due to dying in the Spectre dimension or it freezing up, and meaning I had to cheat to create portals and teleport to death points in order to fix it. Thats not even counting the 4-5 times it took for the deep dark portal to work the original time, and then all the times I had to cheat when the game did stupid things like John Cena creepers or summoning an unkillable Herobrine that never despawns.

Its probably the buggiest and glitchiest pack Ive ever played. Once you config out the annoying/unfair stuff its fun..but I'm not sure if I would recommend it.

Edit: So the Dragon end portal takes you to the overworld, but for me sadly it takes me undground surrounded in bedrock to one of the glitched spots from when the Spectre key broke. So maybe it does actually work, I wouldnt know.

Just another frustrated customer posting about this buggy pack. I've come back to MC more times than I can count, and every single time, I download this modpack hoping to give it a go. And every..single..time.. I'm disappointed, because I can never get past the starting zone. Between errors, or crashes, or textures not loading...and me + the duck Gertrude "flying in the air"...it's always something with this pack.

Not once have I ever been able to actually run this buggy-as-hell modpack.

if it cant load it doesnt mean its the modpack.... its likely your pc or minecraft settings.... and also this is a server connection like issue meaning if its not a setting or the pc then its minecraft itself not the modpack as server issues can happen in singleplayer due to lan

it could be your render distance

also the yogscast played this and itd be highly unlikely that they had these issues if theyve gotten it working and you havent....

basicly: its not the modpack thats the cause of the issue

only one problem, cannot make my screen bigger, i do not use fuscreen mode (hate it) but with the game only taking up half of my screen it sucks, cant seems to maximize it either, or it just wont respond, it is something to do with the mudpack cause i tried it many times, with a nd without the modpack

I really wish I stumbled upon this forum before actually starting out the pack, I had no clue that I was actually supposed to just run for it when I got to the cave dimension, but I guess that just comes with experience, so far, liking the pack, although I kinda wish turning mobgriefing off actually turned all mobgriefing off...

Hey so I know this years later and don't even know if anyone still plays it but, in the modpack the 999 smoothie quest, it won't register that I'm pumping smothies into the QDS. I've tried item conduits, itemducts, and transfer nodes, but nothing is working.

have you actually hit the track quest thing and then (sneak?) right clicked on it?

Quick question, I've been having problems where sometimes a great wave of hostile mobs spawn EVERYWHERE. Disregards light levels, just packs and packs of hostiles everywhere. What's the mod for this and how would I deal with it. Base is in shambles because of this.
