Behold! MC+ Mods is back! This mod page here were started by me (andykuo1). But since then the dev team family has grown and now includes Tobyreed0. Hip, hip. Hooray!
MC+ Mods enhances our adventures in Minecraft without making the game too easy (or maybe even become more difficult) and at the same time keeping the original feel of Minecraft. Hope you like them as much as we do!
All mods work in SP and SMP(thank you, Forge). Thank you!
(make sure both server and client have same version)
NOTICE! If you find any bugs, please reply below with an error log and/or pm andykuo1 or Tobyreed0.
Please excuse format errors.
Minecraft Forum still needs to fix the post editor...
LOOKING FOR HELP!
We are currently looking for a modder who is good at working with entities. I will supply the models, textures, etc. You will often be working with LivingEntities and mobs, not tiles.
We are also looking for a fellow minecrafter to help us maintain a wiki for us, as we are already pretty busy updating the mods themselves. It will only require you to update the wiki every time there is a stable update (which would at least be one or two weeks, so it does not require that much of your time). Thanks!
So if you agree with our goals above (the original feel of Minecraft), contact me.
Adds a Fire Pit to cook food when you can't find a furnace.
Special Thanks to: Kilyle for suggesting the ignition process
Crafting Recipes:
2 Sticks
2 Gravel
Fire Pit needs to be ignited by constantly right-clicking the pit with either a stick, blaze rod, or flint and steel, each with its own chance to ignite a fire. From then, better throw in some wood to keep it burning. The FirePit will eventually go out if unused (or out of fuel).
Special Thanks to: BreakinDragon for suggesting the addon for cutting trees and leaves
Crafting Recipes:
Working on it . . .
Be a lumberjack and call "TIMBER!" when you chop down a tree and it falls down. This basically makes it so when you decide that tree has stood there for too long, sheltering all those mobs from the sun, and chop the bottom log, the rest of the logs connected tumble down as well. The leaves will slowly deteriorate away, leaving the skeletons to their demise. It works for all axes of all stages and ages. Just give the tree a whack.
Cut down the entire tree, plus leaves. CAREFUL! Don't chop connected forests, because...there is just too much wood. (Shouldn't be used on large servers.)
Adds Blackberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, and Cranberry Bushes that spawn throughout the land for you to find.

>MC+ GrainMix - v1.2.0 Crunchy, with a hint of Seeds
Adds a Grain Mix to satisfy your needs when starving. And use up those stacks of seeds laying around.
Crafting Recipes:
If you are ever starving, you can always count on your friend: the seeds. It may not heal much, but better than dying out in the cold. It would only require three seeds of any kind and a wooden bowl. Meaning you don't need a crafting table for this. Make Grain Mix on the go!
>MC+ Turtle - v1.2.3 A cute (greedy) companion to carry your stuff!
Adds a tameable Turtle to carry your items on those long hard journeys.
Crafting Recipes:
None that I know of.
These sweet Turtles can only be found only swamp biomes, and they are quite rare. They only spawn in max groups of 3, and are usually found alone. To tame a wild Turtle, you must feed it raw fish; it might take a couple tries. Once tamed, you can sneak + right click them to open their inventory. Their shells will have a light green marking if tamed. The Turtle does get hungry, so don’t forget to feed them raw fish once in a while, or else it will not listen to anything you have to say. Have your diamonds in your Turtle, but forgot to feed him today? He doesn’t care. So be nice. If you hit him in rage, you have to say your sorry (bribe him with some more fish). If you really have no other options, you can kill your poor pet Turtle, and it will return all your items you stored, maybe even some fish.
If you ever want your Turtle to stay put, you can sit him down, like any other tameable animal, just right click. However, your Turtle is quite slow on land, and if you don’t want your cute turtle to accidentally fall into that huge chasm of lava, you can pick up your Turtle, simply by walking close to it and right click (you must be pushing the Turtle and right click him at the same time). Once on you, you can always access his inventory while picking him up, by sneaking+right clicking (pointing at the turtle). To remove him from your body, right click him, and he will pop off.
Turtles can also breed using a slice of melon, but they must be tamed first. Now go get a Turtle family (you can only carry one turtle at a time though)! Have fun! Oh! And you can carry your Turtle while on your horse.
If you have trouble figuring out your Turtles health, just open its inventory. It will be on the left. Now use them wisely, they carry about half of the regular single chest.
Whats this? Colorful Turtles? That's right. Not the entire Turtle, but their green highlights now can be dyed any of the wool colors, just like the wolf. They now also live up to their name as Turtles, swimming and acting less derpy in their natural habitat of water. It is also fascinating to note that if one carries a Turtle into the water, he/she may find themselves propelled forward by the hardworking Turtle. Control them by facing a certain direction or hold sneak to sink below the water. They also self-heal from time to time, so you can be less worrisome! The Turtles now also will automatically pick up anything you throw at it. So no more constant sneaking to open inventory, just chuck him the stuff. But be careful. If you "accidentally" hand him that diamond pick, and at the same time you forgot to feed it....that will be a problem. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Also you now need to put a chest on the Turtle before it will have an inventory!
Adds Loose Stone to world gen. Loose Stone will fall if walked on, mined, activated, etc. To prevent this, use fences (wooden or nether) as support beams.

>MC+ Satchel - v1.3.2 A better way to carry more stuff!
Adds a dyeable satchel to help you carry things on your travels.
Crafting Recipes:
Right click to open the satchel. Here you can exchange items like a regular chest, shift clicking or drag and drop, your choice. If you want to dye the bag, place it in the crafting table with the corresponding color dyes. This dyeing system works similar to leather armor, so you can mix and match the dyes to a huge variety of colors. You can even rename the satchel, but you will need to use the anvil, similar to all other items in the game. Now there is also a little "animation" that goes along with opening your satchel. There is sound too!

>MC+ Quiver - v1.3.2 A new space for your arrows archers!
Adds the long lost Quiver into Minecraft.
Crafting Recipes:
Running out of arrows? No worries. Just use your quiver(has a total of nine extra slots for your arrow needs) by holding that right click to semi-automatically refill your inventory with arrows. At first, the Quiver only has one slot, but can be upgraded by surrounding the Quiver with leather, earning you two extra slots each time. However, make sure to keep it stocked when you get home! Don't want to forget that you used your last arrow before heading into another fight now would we? Just sneak + right click to open up your quivers inventory and chuck in those arrows! Have fun hunting! Oh! And as always with anything leather...you can dye them! ANY COLOR!!!
But after many uses, aren't you tired of holding that right click? How about wear it around your right leg? Place the Quiver in the Leggings slot, wearing it as armor, and it will automatically reload if your arrow stack runs below 64. It acts just like normal leather armor, it even gives you an armor bonus! The Quiver can also be enchanted at the enchantment room, ranging things from Fire Protection to Blast Protection. Now, we must prepare for the dawn of the Age of the Archers.

>MC+ Blowpipe - v1.4.0 Another way to put those infinite seed stacks to use!
Adds a blowpipe to use up those stacks of seeds.
Crafting Recipes:
Use the Blowpipe the same way you would use a bow, just instead of arrows, stockpile on some seeds. Right click + hold will make the seed shoot further. If you hit a block, it will usually drop as an item to be picked up again. There is however, a small chance that grass (or dead bush on sand) will spawn in its place. Because of the ample amount of seeds you can get in the world, the Blowpipe is considered a weaker weapon compared to the bow, but does not mean it is any less awesome. This is intentional. It is also possible to enchant the Blowpipe, just like the bow. Now, to increase the usage for seeds, you can also place seeds in furnaces and use them as fuel, but they go by really fast, so keep a couple stacks around. Blowpipes can be found in dungeons and starting chests and the sorts too.

>MC+ Clippers - v1.1.2 Want to shear chickens or cut name tags? Welcome home.
Adds Clippers to make your life easier.
Original Idea by:
Adam
Crafting Recipes:
Ever wanted to make your own arrows, but there were just never enough chickens (because you kept killing the ones that seem to always find their way out of the dungeon--i mean pen). Well, you might have find yourself in heaven (sort of). With the new Clippers, made with gold ingots, you can clip the chicken’s feathers right off its body, no need to save those mischievous group of chickens anymore. Feel free to unleash your wrath. Just keep one locked down, and clip it every time it grows its feathers back from eating grass. Each session yields 1 to 3 feathers, which is quite the profit (and save up on your stress levels for creepers instead).
But if you love hearing those hundreds of clucks everyday (you are dead to me), the Clippers have another purpose. Want to rename Betsy the Cow, but you couldn’t find another name tag? No worries; Sneak + right click to remove the name tag from your cow (or any animal). Now you can rename the name tag “Milk Lady”, and put it back on the cow. Your life just got easier.
Not only that, but Clippers are also akin to Shears, so anything shear-able is clip-able, but at a price. The Clippers is a delicate instrument, and clipping wool, which by the way wool yields 1 to 3 string sometimes, or cutting leaves (leaves have a higher chance of apples), will severely damage it. Its durability is not the best, so try not to go around clipping every tree you see because you want gold apples (they are pretty rare). Have a nice day.

>MC+ Quartz - v1.3.2 Equipment for your Nether ventures...only the Nether!
Adds a Quartz toolset and armor for your Nether needs.
Special Thanks To: enbraend for suggesting Quartz Armors ryoakira for suggesting decreased speed for durability
Crafting Recipes:
*Replace Nether Quartz with Block of Quartz*
Use this the same way you would use all other toolsets, using the right mouse button. It has about a little more than the durability of iron, and a little less than the damage and speed of stone. There is however a catch - these tools only function on Nether blocks and things of the Nether. In the overworld, they are practically useless (except the sword and hoe). It can also be enchanted to increase their effectiveness and power. Now it is possible to fashion Quartz Armor, similar to all other armors in Minecraft, you can wear them to protect yourself from damage. Even go into fire or lava unharmed (watch your armor health). But just like its toolset counterpart, there is a catch: water is the new fire. When wearing any piece of the Quartz Armor, you will be damaged by swimming in water and walking in the rain.
Luckily, you can wear a helmet and the rain will become less bothersome. Be careful, as you take damage from water or traverse through the sea of lava unscathed, you have to check your armor durability once in a while, since it will break after such intense interactions with nature. Have a nice day in the underworld!

Adds a Clay toolset that is dyeable to any color you can dream of.
Crafting Recipes:

>MC+ WoodenBucket - v1.2.0 It is not a potty pail.
Adds a Wooden Bucket to carry liquids.
Crafting Recipes:
Sometimes you just don't want to get Iron, or maybe Iron is just too busy at the moment. But you need to move the water to your new base. What do you do now? Well, Wooden Bucket here can save the day. Using two wood planks and a bowl at the bottom, you can craft a Wooden Bucket of your own and start transporting that water to your dehydrated farm. But not so fast. The Wooden Bucket has limited uses. Don't expect to empty a whole lake with just one bucket, you may need a few more.
The Wooden Bucket can also milk your cows. Also like the original bucket, you can make cake and fill cauldrons all the same way. It is just an alternative when Iron can't make it to the party.

>MC+ Lock - v1.2.1 Make those thieves work for their prize!
Adds an Iron Lock and Lockpick for that sneaky side of you.
Crafting Recipes:
I see you have decided to take a stand against them sneaky thieves, I am with you. They will never stand a chance against this new invention: the Iron Lock. The Iron Lock is so effective it even made the great Nord Thief of Irkngthand run for the hills. Now that I mentioned it, I don't think he had ever attended our board meetings again...or even appeared...Anyways, no one can break the Iron Lock but you, the owner, or the explosion of a creepy creeper, or TNT. So guard your precious carrots--I mean jewels, diamonds, carrots, gold, and practically anything behind these Iron Locks. Just place one on the chest and you are safe to go, no more worries. But that is not all. Put on any block on any side you want protected: Doors, Trapdoors, Double chests, Dirt, Diamond, Fence gates, Wood, and the list goes on. The is the ultimate security I say. For doors or double chests though, you have to place two Iron Locks to cover each block space. This way, it provides more security (and cost for locking up so much stuff). One Iron Lock on a block covers all sides, so do not fret. If you want to open the Iron Lock, the owner can just break it and it will pop off. You can put it back when you are done. One thing to note, you will place the Iron Lock backwards(will change in v1.1.0) which is beneficial if you are locking a door from the inside, however not so if you are locking chests. So, to solve this, sneak + left click to flip the direction the Iron Lock is facing. Be careful when doing this, there is a slight fault to this invention I am afraid. You see, there is a reset button behind every locked block(the opposite side of the Iron Lock). If you left click it, the entire Iron Lock will pop off. Just a precaution when you decide to flip the Iron Lock so that the back side is facing the Thief...And best of all...it cannot be broken! Did I say that already?
Hold on. Are you seriously listening to this guy? An Iron Lock that cannot break? Do you believe this nonsense? Come here and let me tell you a little secret I came across. Get yourself two iron ingots, or just rummage around some chests in a dungeon or something, and youll come across this little baby: a Lockpick. Thats right. Unbreakable locks? Let them dream. When night comes, creep up to your neighbors chest that is chuck full of those precious diamonds and left click the Iron Lock to start cracking that thing. Make sure you have Lockpicks in your inventory before you do, and keep some spares, since you never know how much of a security freak that guys is. To pick the lock efficiently instead of fumbling through, you must hone your skills, listen to the ticks and click sound patterns, and right or left hold to turn the keyhole. Some of you may recognize this system similar to the Skyrim lockpicking-system. So test out your skills at home first before taking on any big cases. Fiddle around with the tumbler and lockpick, and before long you will get the hang of it. If it jerks backwards, quickly release the buttons before your Lockpick breaks. If that angle didnt work, try another one. The closer you get, the more leeway the Iron Lock will allow your Lockpick to go. If you are successful, the Iron Lock will pop off, along with a little bit of experience points to reward your time. But that is barely anything compared to what is behind that Iron Lock...That is all I can help you with my new apprentice. As I always say, every thief for themselves.
Ever get lost in your hall of locked chests? Need someway to organize them? Try naming the Iron Lock with an anvil. Thats right. The Iron Lock can be named: "The Unbreakable One," with its new found title floating above.

Adds a Wooden Loom that can transform wool to string, but requires time and a heap of sticks.
Crafting Recipes:
Furnish your house with a new block: the Wooden Loom. You can now transform wool to string with this new machine, just feed it some sticks and time, rewarding you with 4 strings per wool. You can also use shears, they last longer than wooden sticks. The loom, having its unique shape, also has animation while it works! A little experience is also given as you make more string. This woodcraft also supports your redstone creations, utilizing comparators and hoppers, similar to a furnace. Hoppers add/take items depending on the side it is place on. Craft your loom today, using planks and the infamous Wooden Wheel (MC+ Wheel)! How'd you get a Wooden Wheel you ask? MORE STICKS! Better stock up on those random extra sticks laying around.
Adds Wooden Cart to carry chests, crafting table, furnaces, jukeboxes, and animals.

A boat, a slimeball, 2 wheels, 2 sticks
Haul your chest. Haul your furnace. Haul your jukebox, because you need your tunes. Haul your cat, because it is jumping off cliffs. The list goes on...
>MC+ SoulExtractor - v1.0.3 Your soul shall be mine.
Adds a Soul Extractor to bottle up your experience.
Crafting Recipes:

Those Steves won't realize their experience is draining away from their minds until it is too late! Once they step into the Ring of Purple-Stuff, they will struggle to get out! Oh my precious bottles o' enchanting. How you store my knowledge within you. With you, I can take OVER THE WORLD!--Oh, you aren't reading this are you?
You need Soul Sand, Ender Pearl, and a Glass bottle. The Soul Extractor can also extract experience from Bottle o' Enchanting.
Adds a Trapped Ladder that outputs a redstone signal when a player passes over it.
Crafting Recipes:

Adds an unintrusive HUD to display the biome: fades in and fades out.
Special Thanks to: Nitro206 for suggesting multi-language compatibility
Crafting Recipes:
None that I know of.
Unlike before, now Minecraft gives introductions. Instead of just dropping in your world and wondering if you've selected the correct file, the world name fades in: "Andy's Survival". Or perhaps you just want to know where you are going. The HUD is implemented in a way to be similar to RPG's. For example, when you enter a new area the name of the region fades in, giving you a introduction for a short moment before fading out and allowing you to traversing the world around you. Neat huh? I think it adds quite an atmosphere.
Now is language compatible! Add your language in the assets folder in MC+ API! Known Bugs:

>MC+ DayCounter - v1.1.2 Keeping track of the Glory Days
Adds a Day Counter that records days passed.
Crafting Recipes:
Ever wonder how long you've stayed on that forsaken island, with only that single tree and a bunch of ocean water and sand? Well now you can make a Day Counter to keep track of the number of days you survived. However you need a daylight sensor, six cobblestone, and two papers. A bit tough to get, but now you will know what day it is! (Or era, if you've lived that long)
Have a heart and give your neighbor some of your pumpkin pies that he has been eyeing for the past few weeks. With paper all around and your item in the middle, you have prepared the Gift Box for shipment. Maybe rename it at the anvil to something more appropriate, like "Stay away you Creep".

Dude I love your textures for the quartz tools but I think you should add in quartz armory (Maybe make it a little unique than just regular minecraft armor, like give only shoulder pads and leggings and a jaw armor piece or something) and maybe make the tools a little stronger than iron or even up to diamond and leave the durability at stone level, otherwise whats the point in getting quartz?
My reasoning behind this is because that way the people on my server that enjoy living in the nether can kind of have their own personal advantage while having a major disadvantage if they leave to the overworld. Please reply whether it's a good idea or not, I'll be using the quartz mod for my MCPC+ server.

maybe instead of as fast as diamond and durability of stone make it the other way around. since everything in the nether is breakable with a stone pick why not have something slow like stone but lasts a lot longer :3
To Enbraed:
I will add that to my todo list(the armory). But it is not yet SMP, only singleplayer and lan. However I will port it as soon as I get the hang of multiplayer. Thanks for the lengthy reply(and suggestion)!
To RyoAkira:
That was the original idea. I made this because it really bothered me that I couldn't stay down there for more than a few days before coming back to get more pickaxes. But since Quartz was so easily found in the Nether, I nerfed the durability to iron, and left the speed to stone. But even then in the end, a lot of people asked for an increase of speed and I ended up the opposite. Should I change the speed and durability around? Will be considered again. Thx for the suggestion!

UPDATE: Added MC+ Quiver Mod! For you archers out there.
Also cleaned up the mod page a bit.
EDIT: OMG!!! Enbraend! YOU ARE A GENIUS! I just tested and SMP WORKS! Thank you! I can't believe someone else discovered that for me.
UPDATE UPDATE: SMP Compatibility is tested and works. Please report any bugs or errors. Just make sure the server AND client have the same version of the mods. Thank you.
The reason why I kept it separate was because some people don't like certain features, so they can download what they want. That was why I refrained from making a base mod, and combined mods.

Satchels, Quivers, Turtles, Looms, Turnips, QuartzTools, and the list goes on...
Hello everyone. This is an update on my plan for MC+ Lock Mod.
It is nearly finished. Will be released within 1 or 2 weeks. Get ready for some thief role-playing! It may also subject to a name change. After the release, updates will slow down due to school and other responsibilities. I am also planning to create another mod set based off of the idea of the Lock mod, featuring all medieval/thief/role-playing mods I make, however this is mostly up to how many ideas I or you can come up with. This new mod set will most likely be in development, releasing test builds along the way, until its initial full release next year around this time.
As of currently, these are planned implementations: Warband implementation using Testificates:
- Recruit-able Villagers to fight / guard for you
- Upgrade your Villagers directly through the armor and weapons you give them.
- Villagers level up.
- Command Villagers on the field.
- Command Villagers via a map (only if I find a way to code it :D).
- Villagers will demand payment and require food.
Medieval implementation:
- Banners(maybe Wall Carpet?)
- The Medieval Bucket(already planned as MC+ Wooden Bucket)
Suggestions are appreciated to expand this list (especially things related to thief-ing, since I am out of ideas)!
If this new mod set kicks off, MC+ Mods WILL STILL BE UPDATED AS NORMAL!

A cute (greedy) companion to carry your stuff!
Crafting Recipes:

A better way to carry more stuff!

A new space for your arrows archers!

Another way to put those infinite seed stacks to use!

Want to shear chickens or cut name tags? Welcome home.

Equipment for your Nether ventures...only the Nether!
Special Thanks To:
enbraend for suggesting Quartz Armors
ryoakira for suggesting decreased speed for durability
Crafting Recipes:

Make those thieves work for their prize!

Nitro206 for suggesting multi-language compatibility
Crafting Recipes:
Unlike before, now Minecraft gives introductions. Instead of just dropping in your world and wondering if you've selected the correct file, the world name fades in: "Andy's Survival". Or perhaps you just want to know where you are going. The HUD is implemented in a way to be similar to RPG's. For example, when you enter a new area the name of the region fades in, giving you a introduction for a short moment before fading out and allowing you to traversing the world around you. Neat huh? I think it adds quite an atmosphere.
Now is language compatible! Add your language in the assets folder in MC+ API!

My reasoning behind this is because that way the people on my server that enjoy living in the nether can kind of have their own personal advantage while having a major disadvantage if they leave to the overworld. Please reply whether it's a good idea or not, I'll be using the quartz mod for my MCPC+ server.

As of currently, these are planned implementations:
Warband implementation using Testificates:
