Mystic Diviantion is a magic mod that brings a twist to Minecraft. It implements a whole new concept to the game. A system known as Morality. Morality can be raised or decreased by doing a variety of different things, from mining certain ores to eating certain foods. A player's morality governs certain spells that they can cast. The spells are cast in the form of what is called an "Order." Orders are held within card items that are crafted from Tarot Paper and various essence items to infuse the paper with the Order's power.
For example a player who primairly focuses on Sin may be able to cast an Order that drastically increases their Strength for a period of time. In the alternative, a player who focuses on Virtue may be able to cast an Order that drastically increases resistances.
In addition to the morality cost, certain spells also require certain reagents that are needed to act as a catalyst to cast the spells. Another neat feature Mystic Divination adds is something I like to call "Alter Crafting." Certain alters can be found/created that will allow the player to right-click on it with an item and then retrieve a new item in it's place. For those familiar with Advent of Ascension's alters, this system was inspired by that.
Overall Mystic Divination is designed to give the player a new type of Magic to play with and add new systems to enhance your experience.
MODPACKS
I love modpacks. I create a ton of them just as a hobby kinda like how I code. So if you want to use my Mod in your modpack you are more than welcome to. All that I ask is that you let me know. (I may not answer, but I try) You can send me a PM here or on the Curse page, I check both. Just let me know you are using the mod in your modpack and provide me with a link to the modpack so I can check it out and maybe even post it on the Mystic Divination project page.
VIDEOS and Let's Plays
Go crazy! I love them both and you can be sure I will watch them. Even if you don't like some aspects that the mod provides thats fine, we are a free people and everyone is entitled to an opinon lol. Hell, even if you want to make suggestions in your videos, chances are I will see them. Bottom line, feel free to make videos about my mod.

v. 1.0.4
- NOTE: DELETE YOUR CONFIG FILES AND LET THE MOD REGENERATE THEM. THIS VERSION CHANGES SOME CONFIGS AROUND
- New Card - ORDER: Tempus (fully implemented) - neutral card that changes the time of day from Night to Day and Vice Versa. Does not requires a morality level but does require at least 8 Levels of XP and 4 Mystal Dust. (The Mystal Dust Requirment is Configurable)
- New Card - ORDER: Defluet - requires a sin level of 6 (configurable) - applies an Area of Effect Amplified Wither to all entities around the player. The radius of the effect is based on how high the players current XP level is capping out at 10 + 5.
- Slowed down the speed of Creeper Prime
- Increased the chance of Demonic and Angelic Ore spawning as well as Mystalcite Ore
- Cleaned up the Configs and re-arranged some categories as well as added some new config options.
I suggest an oracle mob. For a fee in the form of experience, changes your morale. This is new villager.Lives in a tower in the village2.Amulet of horror. Summons the dead with their heads on the pumpkin to protect you. The level of sin 10

Excellent suggestions. I especially like the Morality changing. Currently there is food that allows you to change your morality.
Do you watch Game of Thrones? There are interesting trees-Weirdwood. What about to add them?. Their destruction gives -5 morals. Maybe you will invent what to create from their wood. http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Weirwood

Not a bad thought. Adding in some new trees for new wood to craft Mystic Divination specific items like rods and stuff. Although I'd have to change the name of the Weirwood tree lol but the new tree will be inspired after it. I am thinking red leaves and a birch like bark but slightly lighter in color.
Hmm... I never particularly though that undead were inherently evil- only if you had to sacrifice babies or something to get them. Nonetheless, this sounds like an awesome mod! Maybe if you had a certain sin level you would be ignored by undead? (Assuming they're evil)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If I seem megalomaniacal, chances are I'm just kidding
I think that good zombies are still Necromancy. And here improving relation with Vindicator. Trade or even hiring as security guard can. If the morals strongly fell.
Obsidian iron table will serve for creation of runestone? Why not to make it completely of obsidian for appearance it is possible to add the Celtic pattern on the surface of the desktop? Also to me it is interesting the detail is small - why swords differ in textures from remaining objects?

Actually the Obsidian Iron table is a leftover item that I was fooling around it and just forgot to remove it lol. To be qutie honest I forgot it existed, I mean I saw it and I know it is there, but everytime I go to remove it I forget to and it survives the next version. It can almost be like the running joke lol. I mean it really serves no purpose and I don't actually intend on having it serve a purpose and will probably remove it in the next version. (Unless it survives again lol)
The runestone creation will be added in future releases down the line but I plan to have alters. (Much like the essences now) You will have a blank rune and then you must visit a certain alter and empower that rune. These alters will not be able to be crafted and will only spawn in certain Biome Types, etc. For those familar with the browser based game Runescape, or even the Minecraft Mod Advent of Ascension that is were the inspiration derives from.
Runes, at this point in time, will serve as later tier catalysts/ammo for spells and weapons.
With respect to the swords, I imagine you are talking about the Serpentine Blade and or the Gunblade and why it is different from all the other swords, that is simply because that texture was made for me and I placed it as the default to pay homage to the creator of it. The same goes for the Gunblade. I am a TERRIBLE Texture/Model artist so many of the textures come from Public Domain images or Open Source or even Minecraft Default texture work that I modify, adjust, change etc. But every once and a while a Texture Artist will donate a texture to me so they can see their art live in my mod so I make it the default texture, even if it is a 512x512 or a 64x64 etc.
**SNEAK PEAK TO THE NEXT UPDATE
An item that in SMP will allow you to lock your chests and prevent them from being opened or broken by anyone but yourself, and a new Virtue card.

Looking for community thoughts here. I am considering adding in killing hostile entites to cause Virtue to increase. However, the problem I am facing is that players who want to play as Sinful will always be at a disadvantage since well, you kill things in minecraft, thats kinda what you do. So let me here your thoughts. Should I implement that feature, and just have it as an incredibly low chance of incresing virtue, or should I restrict it somehow and perhaps make mobs in Mystic Divination itself that you can kill to alter Sin and Virtue?
EDIT: I also updated the licence and stuff with relation to modpacks and videos in the original post.

The next update will actually contain an item. Shout out to @MainFreak1 for coming up with the idea. The item is a type of talisman and it will likely be the first item to utilize the Rune Crafting. The talisman has two variants, a sin and virtue variant. Anything hostile you kill will have a chance to increase your Virtue or Sin based on the amulet you have in the inventory. The only requirement is that the talisman is within your inventory.

Yes, it is a formula that takes into account you current EXP level. This way it scales with you so a player who farms EXP cannot spam the order and still pay the cost of a player who cannot or has not managed to set up an EXP farm. The higher level the EXP the more EXP it will drain and the lower level the EXP the less it will drain. It is a basic scaling system just to keep things balanced.

v 1.0.6 - Been a While But It's Here!
- Added in the new talismans: Virtue and Sin. Each one can be placed in your inventory and while killing any hostile mobs has a chance to increase your morality accoring to the talisman in the inventory. If you place both in your inventory, it won't do you any good. It will just prioritize the one in the lower numbered slot.
- Added in the crafting recipe for the Augry Kiln.
- Added in crafting recipe for the Sinful and Virtue fruit dishes.
- Added in new Essence of Sin and Essence of Virtue
- Changed the behavior the Alters slightly, so now if you right click the alter it will tell you instructions on how to use it.

Curse - Always Get the Latest Version
v. 1.0.2
- Killing Villages will now increase your Sin Level.
- Laid foundation for Alter World Gen
- Implemented More Configuration Options
- Implemented Order: Tempus - allows you set the time if it is night will set to day and if it is day will set to night.
- Laid foundation for Trading with Village to increase Virtue. (Look for it possibly in next update)
v. 1.0.3
- Fixed Recipes not being carried over to Servers
- Added the Serpentine Sword's Recipe after some needed tweaking of the weapon
- Fixed the odd Fuel Registry making all items "fuel." There is no longer anything relating to fuel in the mod (it was for testing)
If you have any suggestions please feel free to make them here or on the project page. I am actively developing this mod.
