Here is XNet. This is a mod for Minecraft 1.10.2 and 1.11.2 that adds very efficient and scalable networking cables. These cables can be used to transfer items, fluids, energy and information in general. This mod is not finished but already in a usable state. Cables are not tile entities so you can make VERY efficient cable networks without any overhead (I tested this by transfering items instantly over a cable of 12000 blocks long).
This mod needs CompatLayer and McJtyLib to function.

Hey! I can't figure out how the Routers work. No matter what I try channels don't seem to connect.
I tried just giving them the same Published name, giving them the same name in their controllers, exporting/inserting items and energy into and from the Routers...Nothing seems to work
How do I make them work?

Do the advanced connectors have an increased item transfer rate? If so do you need the advanced connecter on both ends?
Yes they do. And no, it is only needed on the extraction end

*bonks self* Just realized if you don't set the powercell up to export off a side, it doesn't matter if the controller is set to import the energy or not.
Could maybe add some sort of indicator on the controller alerting the user that the input isn't giving any energy? Or give the cables/connectors a RF reading to be used with the RF Network Monitor (ideal I think?) because currently they all register as 0 no matter if there's a flow or not.
Hi McJty, I read somewhere (I don't recall where exactly) that you are planing a redstone channel. Is that true?. I'm planning to swap all my cabling/conduit/pipes (you name it :-) to XNet (the whole concept of this Mod is blowing mind!), but it lacks RS signaling... (I know I know, the more you give, the more they want!!, the "karma" of the coders!)

yes, I have plans for a redstone channel. Not sure when I'll get to it but hopefully not too long

Heh you either took my suggestion and ran with it, or thought of it already! Nice to see cables all have a reading in the 1.2 version. That just made my life with expensive dimlets and multiple telepads, so much easier! <3
Hi again McJty. A suggestion : a way to copy the configuration of any connector, a way to expand your installation "cloning" a setup of similar machine, something similar to what BuildCraft had with the robots stations (ah those days!), for example an additional button labeled "Create From" when you are adding the specifics of a machine... Keep in mind that this is going to be my main (and only) cabling system...it will be huge! :-)
I'm having trouble getting a setup working. I'm trying to route from chest A to inventories 1-10, chest B to inventories 11-20, etc.
I should note that I'm using the Direwolf20 pack which has XNet v1.1.2 in it which is not the latest version, so perhaps this is a bug that's been fixed?
Here's two screenshots of my setup:
I set it up for the middle chest and the middle set of orange injectors first on channel 2 and it works perfect. It extracts singles from the chest and inserts with a limit of 1 and a whitelist into the injectors.
However no matter what I do, I can't seem to get the controller to do the same thing for a second chest.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I can provide screenshots of anything you need to help me debug.
What do you mean by 'second' chest? Can you clarify what exactly is going wrong in that screenshot?

I'm trying to extract from one of the other chests and insert into a separate set of injectors, for a different Draconic Evolution recipe. I already have it working perfectly from the middle chest. It extracts and inserts into 8 different inventories based on whitelists.
For testing, I can't even get it to move items from the bottom chest to the top chest.
Might be caused by not having the latest version. There were some important fixes

I just noticed something that might be worth the mention. If you are using more than one storage module, via a remote storage unit. HItting the cycle button in the modular storage, makes xnet use whatever active module you have going. There doesn't seem to be a way to control the inputs and outputs of which module to use? To get around it, I'm using two different modular storage devices and have each using their own remote storage modules. Basically unable to utilize the cycle feature.
Without this, my eggs from my chicken farm, meat from my cow farm, etc were going into my adventuring items module, every time I cycled using my in home storage module. Guess I could just stick to using my remote control, but that drains a lot power out my system, when using my storage locally is free of charge.
