Ah jeez. Seems this computer's browser wasn't letting me see anything but the Front page and the Downloads tab in curseforge. Fixed it though and I am back on my regular computer. Sorry!!! I feel so stupid now haha. And thank you, I don't have twitter but I have bookmarked your page. Thank you so much for the fixes and the 3 added cows. Amazing job!
Hey guys, just in case you missed it, we had a nice review from Pat and Jen (PopularMMOs) last week, mostly covering the Hamsters, Ferrets, and Hedgehogs:
Could you add salamanders and newts? Turtles and tortoises would be cool as well. I say this because there are very few mods that have good amphibians, and I know you guys can do them well. It would also be nice if you could somehow make this mod for 1.8.9 and 1.7.10. They are probably the versions of Minecraft with the most mods, hope you read this.
I looked at the list of planned mobs, and I got so excited to see "working dogs" Will you be adding different models/textures? If so, I hope you add a Golden Retriever type like my service dog Tucker <3 (of course, no pressure or demanding intended)
I love this mod so much. But I have a problem with the Spawn of the animals. Yes I have the v1.4.4 but there are spawning so many animals after a Time. Its like in an apocalypse .
I tried to play with the config but nothing really worked. Maybe you have an idea what I can do.
Thanks
Hey LePolak134 -
Yeah, it's an ongoing issue. There is nothing in my code other than a spawn entry... problem seems to happen on servers.. using multiple mods, and even worse with Sponge or Ice and Fire. Plan to have an update this weekend. Might have to downgrade to 1.4.3 until then.
Hmmm. I roped a Friesian cow and added her to my pen of Angus cattle. Soon enough, there was a Friesian calf. I went to milk the cow, but she wasn't giving milk.
Now there are two Friesian calves, but still no milk action from the cow.
I assume that calves that look like the Friesian must have been born to her?

Yes, most likely. Is she thirsty? She won't milk if thirsty. And what version are you on... 1.12 (so I can check)?
I was wondering...are you planning on making/adding new things to the AI of the mobs [Animania]? You see, back with 1.7.10 there were three mods that together made animals more realistic (regarding behavior):
With these three mods, animals could get sick, got angry when you hit one of their peers [or ran away] and you could feed them by throwing food on the ground!
Maybe (please), make an add-on AI mod for Animania or adding these things I'm suggesting. Is Animania compatible with Hungry animals? I cannot tell... :/ if not, could you make it compatible?
Thanks for the mod! Is awesome!
I know that the "attack" feature is added with the bull, but until now no rooster, male pig, ram had attacked me :/ Maybe make them violent when you hit a baby animal?
I've found that I cannot lead Animania animals (goats, horses, sheep) through an open gate on a lead. I've been able to do this in the basic game.
BTW: The Friesian cow who wouldn't milk was in fact a happiness issue, but that really surprised me because there is grass growing and a man-made lake in the pen. The cattle seem to be hungry a surprising amount of time while standing on edible grass.
This may have something to do with how many cattle are in the pen. With autonomous breeding, the population does go up...
We also were not able to feed draft horse by hand. They didn't need to be tamed to be ridden, which I thought was a bit of a bummer. I rather like the base game behavior where you ride and are bucked off.

Thanks for the update, glad the cow worked out, but surprising he was hungry/thristy. Are you using 1.4.5+ version of Animania? I fixed some pathing issues in 1.4.4....
Yeah, we'll make horses a bit harder to tame in the next major update. We also have saddles coming (finally).

I'm looking forward to it!
I am playing 1.4.5 on 1.12 (even). The issue with leading animals through gates has been consistent. To get an animal into an existing pen, I've started just adding a block outside the fence, leading the animal over, and then running around really quick to smash the block.
I am having an absolute blast with this mod. I'd been looking for some style of play that overlaps my interests and my 7yo daughter's, and this has been perfect. We spent hours today in a peaceful world, building a farm, gathering animals, and then caring for them. I added Hunger in Peace so that we can cook and a wool->string recipe.
So I just recently got the 1.12.2 version and as someone who relies heavily on wikis and such, I can't find anything on the rabbits? They're not listed on any overview or even on this forum thread.
Also, I'm just saying I don't know if it's even possible or not, but it'd be really cute if the hamsters had little tubes

Really hope y'all are planning on adding Falconry soon!
There's grass and a man-made lake in the pen. Also salt licks. I think the cattle should all be pretty happy, and they've certainly been breeding.
I'm on 1.12. Thanks :).
Hello, P.C!

With these three mods, animals could get sick, got angry when you hit one of their peers [or ran away] and you could feed them by throwing food on the ground!

The models look awesome! You should also shared it with Pavocado! He is the author of Exotic Birds mod [now for 1.12.2]

Yeah, Pavocado's stuff is great. We follow each other on twitter

Can you add giant slingshots?
Behaviors:
Flings fully grown Chickens, Roosters, Peacocks, and Ducks and Turkeys (Add ducks and turkeys to Animania 1.5)
When the bird is flung, it can break things, pretty useful.
It can cause the bIrds to break blocks and kill Hedgehogs and Ferrets.
The Birds Will return the eggs to the nest.
Is this your work, Sneaky_Silly_Fox?
