I want to be able to play or do a timelapse and have the camera follow me or target the build.
There is no timelapse feature and no camera which follows you. You can also set a target for the camera, which will affect it's rotation only and not it's position. This video might help you:
Uhm, I set my target to my other acc and set the interpolation to circular and if i begin the recording close to the camera path and then move away the camera keeps the same path, following the player but never changing altitude to stay close enough to get character in middle of the shot

There will be different modes in the future, but circular won't follow the target, it will keep the distance between the first point you set and the target. If the target moves away the distance/ radius of the circle will increase.
Two questions, just wondering if you have answers off the top of your head
Question 1: Whenever the cam is rolling and I sprint, the fov sprint occurs from the camera's point of view. Can the sprint fov be disabled be disabled from the camera's point of view?
Question 2: Whenever I place the camera down and I start it rolling, it starts about 2 blocks above where I placed it. Is there a way to make it start right where I placed it down?
I'm not asking you fix anything, especially when there's a possibility it's on my side because of other mods or stuff. Just wondering if you happen to know about these issues. I'll keep working on my end to try and figure it out.

Yes for question 1, both 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 for question 2. That's why i'm just wondering if you happen to know of this issue off the top of your head, I don't expect a fix for 1.7.10 since I know you don't support the older versions, just wondering if you knew of something that would correct it. Otherwise, I'm wondering if you have noticed that issue (1.12.2) expressed in question 2.
I will try to fix the second issue, but i'm not sure if I can.
Ok. Don't worry too much, I don't want to be a bother. That's super nice of you to try though! You're mod is super cool! Great job on it so far, seriously!

Fixed it! There was a minor offset when using outside mode. CMDCam v1.4.2 mc1.12.2 should be available soon.
I wonder, did you fix that in the OutsidePath.class? I'm just wondering how easy the fix was and if I could fix it in 1.7.10. I don't use 1.12.2 often because 1.12.2 forge has too many memory leaks.

I never ran into a memory leak in 1.12.2. It most likely depends on the mods you use. And sorry, I don't support 1.7.10 anymore. There are many other issues in that old version.

It mostly just has to do with how much bigger 1.12.2 is and the forge coding isn't perfect, so yes adding mods really causes the memory leaks. For 1.7.10, I knew you didn't support it which is why I don't want to ask you to fix it, but it's my real only option to use it in 1.7.10, so I was wondering if I could fix it just for my own personal use.

Allright. Thanks
How does this mod save as I cant find any of the video files/folder?
It doesn't record anything, you have to record it yourself. It only makes your camera move.
The given index '1' is too high/low!
Trying to add waypoint but its not working.. No matter what # I input
You can't add new points via set, you need to either use /cam add or press 'p'
Hi, Im wondering. What ever I try my camera wont lower its self to follow an entity into say, a cave or raise to follow a flying player. Any help?
The camera will only look at the target, not follow it in any way. Maybe I will add it in the further.
