YOU MUST DOWNLOAD A CONTENT PACK - LIKE VANILLA RACES - TO USE THIS MOD!!!!
ACCEPTING SUGGESTIONS!
INCOMPATIBLE WITH MODS THAT CHANGE BASE HEALTH - LIKE TOUGH AS NAILS
Have you ever been playing Minecraft, just minding your own business, until suddenly, you accidentally hit F5 and are forced to confront the horrifying, azure-trousered, pixelated monstrosity that is Steve? Have you played Minecraft for such long hours that its unchanging 10 heart health bar is forever burned into your mind, eternally mocking you about the friends and family that you scorned just to play this meaningless game? Do you despise the human race?
If so, this mod is for you!!!!1!!!1!!!
Using the power of the Tome of Races, you can abandon your pitiful mortal shell and become something much better! Like a cow! Or a pig! (Note: mortality may still apply)
Each race has different base stats, along with several abilities, one of which is passive, and always applied, and two of which are activated on command! They can also have weaknesses too.
TO USE PLAYER SKINS FOR RACES:
Since each race uses a different model, the normal "steve" type skins won't work. Instead, you'll have to edit the base texture of whatever race you want.
FOR VANILLA RACES: Navigate to the "versions" folder in your .minecraft, open the folder of the version of minecraft's mobs you want to edit, then extract the jar with that version's name. Open the extracted folder, then navigate to assets/minecraft/textures/entity. Copy the texture of the mob you want, edit it to your satisfaction, then upload it to minecraft.net as your skin. Finally, launch minecraft, then when choosing your race, hit "Use Player Skin" on the race you want, and you should be good to go.
FOR FANTASY RACES: Do the same thing, except with rpgracemodfantasyraces.jar
This mod is still in development, but will be updated rapidly. It is composed of two parts, the RPG Race Mod, which adds the framework the mod uses as well as one race, Human. If you want other races, check out my companion mod RPG Race Mod - Vanilla Races, which will eventually add all vanilla mobs as playable races. In the future, once a sizable amount of vanilla mobs have been added, I will release the API for RPG Race Mod, allowing other modders to easily add their own mobs as playable races to the game.
I'm working on adding the ocelot, sheep, and zombie right now, though I will try to add the Iron Golem too. The amount of time it takes to add a new race depends on whether they subclass some base model type, and I think the Iron Golem subclasses Model Biped, so it shouldn't be too hard
Working on fixing some bugs, next version should be out some time tomorrow. I decided its time to add the fantasy races expansion because so many people keep demanding it, and I also will be adding the ascendance system, allowing you to switch to more powerful races after fulfilling certain conditions. I am also openly accepting suggestions for race abilities and stats.
i picked iron golem but realized i wanted something else afterwards so i deleted my world and created a new one but i was still a iron golem i didnt get to choose what do i do also i love this mod its amazing i cant wait for new races like elf's and orcs and so on
Though I don't have my main pc, I have my laptop, I managed to updated both mods, fixing all known errors. Sadly, more content, including the Fantasy Races, will have to wait the two days till I return.

If you named your world with the same name, that's the issue. See most minimap mods that have waypoints, and the same issue persists. Another solution is to enable cheats and give yourself another tome ( /give <username> rpgracemod:raceChanger ), or confirm that the world's save folder was completely removed, closing your game between deleting the old world and creating a new world.
Yes, I run like 35 mod, but most of them is adding more armour and tool.
I can not do anything once I create a world because I keep getting killed immediately even in creative mode.
This could be from a compatibility issue, which could be solved- or at least, uncovered, by going into your mods folder and removing one mod, launching your game, making a new world, and seeing if the issue persists. If the issue remains, return the mod to the mods folder, then try another one. Should none of the mods be causing this, it might be because you're on a mac, but all mods I've seen are capable of running on both mac and windows, as they use the same requirements as minecraft itself. (Java).
Another issue would be that your java might be out of date, try updating?
Last possible solution would be to remove the rpgracemod files from your mods folder, run minecraft, then re-download and install them (The base and the vanilla races.) Might fix broken classes that could be causing the issue, should the previous solutions not fix it.
Hey guys I'm back now from my vacation and am resuming development. Should have new content within next three days, including the fantasy races addon. Also @Darkensparrow a java version mismatch is likely your problem, you have to use java 8 or it won't work.

okay friend this your mod you can do everthing
This looks amazing !! I've been waiting for a mod like this
You even have amour compatibility and skin compatibility (awesome!!!)
Even the proper pov heights are included!
When will Iron Golem be implemented?
It'd be so awesome being super slow and intimidatingly walking up to a zombie "Try it nerd!"
I'm working on adding the ocelot, sheep, and zombie right now, though I will try to add the Iron Golem too. The amount of time it takes to add a new race depends on whether they subclass some base model type, and I think the Iron Golem subclasses Model Biped, so it shouldn't be too hard
Thank you, this mod is going to be so awesome
Can't wait
If you need any testing help, I definitely am willing to provide (I would help other ways, but I can't code)
That would be extremely helpful, thanks! Just test whatever you can think of and post anything you find as an issue on the RPG Race Mod issues page

Updated to V.1.0.0, added lots of things, though took way longer than I thought so Fantasy Races will have to wait a bit

That's pretty weird. I'll look into it, but im out of town and away from my pc for the next two days, so you'll have to wait till then sorry :(.

Is this mod mac compatible?
I have no idea, sorry. I use windows, so it might. Are you running any other mods?
Yes, I run like 35 mod, but most of them is adding more armour and tool.

thank you for telling me

That would do it, if your world wasn't completely deleted, though it could be a java issue. Also @Jonesxlr thanks for the support!
