This is a liteloader mod for minecraft 1.9 and up based heavily on Urushibara's Biome Borders Mod. With it, you can toggle a visual border running along the edges of different biomes. The default key to toggle this effect is "B", but you can change that in the controls menu. This mod requires LiteLoader 1.9 or newer to run. Download it here.
This is a fairly simple mod, and as the structure for checking biomes hasn't changed (and likely won't) it should only need minor fixes between major updates of Minecraft. All I've done with this mod was decompile it from 1.8, fix some of the code to match new versions of minecraft, and recompile it -- the code behind it all belongs to Urushibara. If for some reason Urushibara returns and requests I take it down or requests development be transferred back, I will gladly comply, seeing as it wasn't my code to begin with.
Prior versions for 1.7.10 and 1.8 can be found on Urushibara's original post here.

Thanks for updating this. I think I've found a bug with version 1.0.3 for 1.10.2. When I go into the mod settings in the liteloader menu and change the Border line height, it isn't saved after restarting minecraft and resets back to the default 0.25 blocks. Just wondering if it'd be possible to fix it?
I'll look into it and try to release an update soon
EDIT: I know it's been a while since I said I'd look into this, but I've been really busy lately. That being said, it turns out the original code didn't actually save any values to any sort of config file, but rather kept track of it internally each time MC started up. I'm in the process of updating all my other mods to the most recent and easy to use config panel style created by Mumfrey within LiteLoader, but currently it doesn't support the text box element currently in place on here. I'll try to get a functioning saving config panel released, but I'd prefer to wait until support is added within LiteLoader's config panel interface.

Would you prefer it moved to a side of the screen or removed completely? Either way, once I have a good internet connection again, I'll look into releasing a new version with that feature.

I think I'd like a toggle for that display. Usually I can figure out the biome, but I would like to know the specific lines. My screen is info crowded anyway, pop enchants, armor display... Yeah, a toggle would be great for me. 😉
