Still having an issue with the book, and maids' sugar consumption is way too high, spent several real-life days cultivating a huge sugar farm, and in the course of a single Minecraft day my maid decimated it. Perhaps in the next update, lower the consumption rate, or even remove the need for sugar altogether? Just a suggestion
Okay, I can see a lot of people are having problems with the mod as it currently stands. While I would like to take the time to fix all of this, I have currently not had much time to dedicate myself to working on this. As it currently stands my plans are to integrate a lot of my changes into Verclene's Little Maid RE when time permits as their code seems to be much stabler than mine and has been the basis of most of this versions bug fixes. The source code will still be available on Github so if someone has the time they can maintain this version of the code, but the issue is the current code is very much a Frankenstein's monster of code that has far to much incomprehensible and possibly dead code to make much sense of it in a reasonable period of time.
I'm sorry, I really wish I had more time to commit to this but it's just not working out.

You could install Candycraft if you're running low on sugar.

Thank you so much for all your hard work up to this point.
I like your port of MMM's mod better than the other ones to be honest. It has made the Minecraft experience a lot more enjoyable for me. While a ton of other mods have come and gone, LMME has stuck with me forever. I'm also glad to say that I've had no real issues so far.
Anyway, I just added my 16th (Or so) set of models and things are starting to get a bit hectic. Is there a way of removing some of the default models that came with the mod? I tried deleting the class files (Like it's done in the other maid mods) but this makes the game crash on startup.
Is there a chance in the nether you will consider booting this back up for 1.10.2? I got the reenganged one working but mining is the one thing i really could use them for

It means a lot to me to hear you say that, and I'm glad you haven't found any issues. In actuality most of the models made for the mod are already in the code, they just have no textures and are there for deemed unnecessary for use by the mods package loader. It's actually an incredibly mystifying piece of code, it is in many senses an extension framework of itself. It will look for keywords in other packages in the mods directory and depending on what it finds it will add them in as new textures, models or modes. It can also modify the classes it loads to keep backwards compatibility. Assuming that something else doesn't break them.
In terms of deleting the models class files, the people who worked on my fork before me didn't fully understand how the above mentioned code worked, and believed that everything should be hard coded in, which is what they did. I had to Frankenstein code from Verclene's version and the original to get the system working properly again. However I kept what they had already loaded like that there because it's faster and there is a lot less headache. It would require a code change but I believe if you delete the textures for the default maids instead you may get the effect you desire.
Is there a chance in the nether you will consider booting this back up for 1.10.2? I got the reenganged one working but mining is the one thing i really could use them for
I suppose I flat out lied when it came to putting my major changes into Verclene's version. Verclene's style and way of coding is very dynamic and ever changing. I don't know how they manage to do as much as they do in their version while also playing so much Phantasy Star Online. Some of their code practices are somewhat frowned upon by people in the field, but they're really the only developer so at this point it doesn't really matter. I'll put in a request on Verclen's git hub and see if they would be willing, they are far more experienced than I am with the maids but they don't seem to have the same vision for the mod that I did.
Speaking of vision for the mod I thought I'd share a bit more about that. If I lived in the hyperbolic time chamber and I had an unlimited supply of food, this mod would be up there with tekkit in terms of compatibility and extendability. Unfortunately life moves forward and not everything is how we hoped it would be. I'm almost completed with college now and I realize now more than ever that Minecraft is definitely not going to become what I wanted it to be when I got it 7 years ago. I'll never forget that feeling I had when I first saw it, I didn't see it as it was but what it could be. I saw a game like Skyrim in terms of content, but infinitely large and everything you did and made you did all by yourself, you built everything. But there was more then that I wanted interaction with others: NPCs, quests an end goal, (like Terraria a bit). But updates were slow and I found this mod in the Minecraft beta days and thought it was the coolest thing ever, because it brought me closer to that vision I saw. But the game went more in the direction of being a virtual Lego set than what I wanted and the maids could only help so much.
Early last year (2016) I was invited by some friends to do a big modded server thing after none of us playing for 4 years, we were gonna add every mod we wanted and in addition to all the Technic machine goodness I chose Little Maid as well. It broke everything immediately. As a college student in computer science I figured that I should give the code a shot; I did and I fixed the problem. One fix led to another and pretty soon all the little annoyances and incompatibilities we had with the mod were gone. We eventually stopped playing because like all the other times I've played Minecraft, I got bored of having no greater purpose, I did everything there was to do.
I figured I'd post my fixed version here and LMME was born, LMME gave Minecraft a purpose for me, to make LMME. I made it so you could specify new blocks to them as harvestable, specify new tools as usable, and even made them mine. But in the end no one ever really cared, it was always a thing that I could never reproduce or someone complaining about something that was either there fault or telling me how they think the mod should be. That didn't make me lose heart after getting an internship and spending my free time on the mod with the only guiding light being complaints from people who don't know how to make an informed issue ticket. I thought "Is this were I want to be in my life? Do I want to go to work 9 to 5 come home and deal with the skwacking for a mod to a game I don't even play outside of bug testing?" No, I didn't, and right after that I installed Unity. While most of my freetime has now been taken over by internships, school work or unwinding doing said tasks, I'm trying to learn the Unity engine with the hope that one day I can make that game I wanted Minecraft to be. One day I'll probably use a heavily modified version of the maids in my own game and make an voxely, Animal Crossing like, dwarf fortress thing with a bunch of maids that all work together and do jobs.
Until that day comes I thank you for all your comments both good and bad, and I thank you for using LMME. I hope you'll play my game when it eventually comes out however many years from now.
This maybe the best LMM mod that has been updated though. Besides, i am so confused about putting in the zip model/texture file into the mods folder, should i put in a Compressed Zipped folder in the mods or do i have to extract it to the mods folder? I tried adding the assets folder, but i think this would not likely work with it, i am also testing that if the Compressed Zipped versions do work when put into the mods folder. My guess is good as mine, i believe it dose not even work.
Mind if you can clear things up for a bit? I feel like i am either missing something or just plain dumb. Either way, can you clear it up saying that i should not install only assets into the mods folder instead installed the full compressed zip folder into the mods folder? I would love to see some clarification on installing this.
The mod broken with M&B battlegear II and Danguerous RPG, i have tested, these are good mods too, it is possible to make them compatible ^_^? And thanks for the good work!
Hello, i'm new in here but, I have experience about little maids mod, and I really like them, the reason that I am here is that this actualization cant be executed with the mods of "HMG_GVCGunsReversion1.7.x.9.1X8.56" and "EntityMode_HMGlinker1.3" (both used to equip weapons) , I has found those two mods in a japanese forum (It was so ****ing hard to found :'v), the problem is that when I load the enhanced version with those 2 mods in my world and I try to get a weapon from the creative, the game crash automatically (it happens when the maid get one too). If you read this comment can you respond? Im so excited about this mod and I really want to use this actualization. (°~°)
Here I left the links of the mods if someone want to test something...

I have an error like this...
Always thank you, and Goodbye.

... Say, how do you mute these bastar- friends?
* Look for a file called lmmx.cfg in your Minecraft's config folder.
C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\config
* Open it using notepad and look for this option:
B:"Maids Make Sounds"=true
* Change the setting to:
B:"Maids Make Sounds"=false
* Done! Now you shouldn't hear their high-pitched babble every 2 seconds.
7 Pure hearts of light, 13 Hearts of Darkness. 1 Boy with a zipper overload.
