More Items is now fully released with version 0.1.0 and is fully compatible any 1.8.x minecraft with forge.
The first number on 0.0.0 version number stand for mc version update (1.8.X = 0, 1.9.X = 1 so on).
And the third number is the T.M version number. The last number is a fix/small update of the mod.
New version 1.1.1.
