Update a1.5 (MC 1.8.9):

This is most likely the last alpha update. Beta 1.0 will come out for Minecraft versions 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9.4 and 1.10.

* Improved transparent blocks loading/rendering.
* Fixed modded blocks with no domain loading.
* Improved zoom-in animation.
* M key will now also close the map GUI.
* Xaero's Minimap v1.9.5 compatibility (faster chunk grids).
* Other minor bug fixes.

Wouldn't that be way too overpowered? Also, it would probably make the game a lot laggier.

It does have pretty good cave maps, especially if you turn lighting off.

Not planning to release the source. At least right now. Pretty sure there are similar open-source mods out there. You should check them out

I will release beta 1.0 for 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9.4(1.10) and 1.10.2 all at once most likely next week. Currently working on it.

I recommend updating the minimap mod (if you're using it) to version 1.9.7 before updating this mod to beta.

Speaking of World Map beta, it is now even more likely to be out next week. There are still bugs that need to be fixed but that's exactly what beta is for. I can't guarantee 100% stability, especially on Forge versions other than 1.8.9, so don't get shocked by a random crash

If you won't be able to get on your world because of this mod then simply delete the respective world map files from the "mods/XaeroWorldMap" folder and you'll get back on. Definitely report the crash output in such cases.

You can use all of my mods in modpacks if I'm credited and you do not commercially profit from the modpack in any way. The mod will be in beta, by the way, so I don't recommend using it in your modpacks just yet.
