first of all, really nice work that you have done with the world map and the mini map!
However I have a few questions/suggestions:
I'm missing support for MultiVerse but I'm not really sure if this is really missing or if there is just something misconfigured on the server?^^
Is there a reason why the zoom on the world map is limited to 0.5x? If not I'd really like to be able to zoom out further to get a better overview.
Maybe add the possibility (or a config option) to still be able to move while on the world map. For example on a large boat trip the map is really helpful for orientation and it's a little annoying to always have to toggle it.
So far,
iTob
Thank you for the feedback!
MultiVerse is not supported at the moment. It will be in the future but it's not that simple XD
The zoom is limited to 0.5x because I thought it was pretty damn far lol. It actually depends on your screen resolution. You'll see a lot more on a 1080p screen than on a 720p one. But yeah, 0.25 zoom is on my todo list.
How would you rotate yourself while on the world map screen?

Okay, thats good to hear^^ On the mini map that's not a big problem at the moment because you can just make a new waypoint set for every world and switch manually, but on the world map it keeps overwriting the map data with the data from other worlds, so thats pretty annoying^^

Resolution of 1080p here x) Yeah, for normal usage 0.5x is probably enough, but if you are planing a bigger trip or want to get an overview of a whole ocean, 0.25x or maybe even further would probably be helpful. And as far as I can tell, that shouldn't be a big deal to implement^^
How would you rotate yourself while on the world map screen?
Well, I think such a feature would be most helpful in a boat (as you don't really have to care about your surroundings while in it, at least not if you're on an ocean) and in a boat you rotate with A and D.
Outside of a boat however you're right, that you cannot rotate without the mouse. But on the other hand you probably don't really want the map to be open for longer than a few seconds while running around (at least not, if you don't want to explore the ground of the next canyon or say hello to the next creeper) and not being able to rotate should be ok for such a short time. So you could for example use a flat region like a desert (where you don't have to fear canyons and creepers as you can see them from far away) to orientate yourself again, espacially with auto-jump turned on.
If you think that some people wouldn't like that, you could also make it an opt-in^^
/e: Another idea that came to my mind: What do you think about creating waypoints for the mini map directly from the worldmap by right click or sth like that?

I guess you're right about the rotation.
Adding waypoints through the world map is already planned ^^
It will probably use the same key bind (B).
Sorry the development is kind of slow, it's mainly because I'm working on several mods at once.
I suppose they mean a feature from Rei's Minimap. By pressing a certain button a bigger map opened. You could still move around in the world and the map loaded new chunks (player is the center of the map). It was not possible to look up areas of the map on your own (it was limited to the visible one), but all the waypoints were visible.
He was talking about an existing feature, I'm assuming he was talking about the enlarged map. It's not "zoomed" in any way though, it's just bigger. Plus it already displays world map chunks. He said "additional integration", what is the current integration then? xD
That's why I'm confused.
Right now the world map displays waypoints from the minimap mod and the minimap displays chunks from the world map.
He might be in safe mode or something, which means no world map integration.
I'm pretty sure that this is already on your todo list, but it would be nice if you'd add a settings button next to the one of the minimap instead of only being able to access settings via the hotkey.
/e: Is it possible to seperate the settings for world-map and minimap when using world-map integration for the minimap? Like showing lighting on the minimap, but not on the world map?^^

1) Maybe, there are so few world map settings though.
2) Not, it's not possible, the only way is to turn off world map chunks in the minimap settings but it will cost your some performance.
EDIT: I might figure something out, as it's very requested.
Hello your mod looks really nice! If I understand correctly, .xareo files are separated into chunks and numbers in filename are chunk location? Is it possible to export files as images ?
Thank you ^^
.xaero files are world map "regions" which are 32x32 chunks in size. Exporting maps as .png is going to be available in a future version of the mod.

Mhh, maybe one Settings button for both that shows up if at least one of the two mods is installed and something like a tab for each mod within the settings dialog?^^ That one settings button has the label "Minimap Settings", "Worldmap Settings" or "Mini- & Worldmap Settings" depending on what mod combination is installed^^
I have no clue of how forge is working but there is the "Mod Options"-Dialog by Forge with a "Config"-Button for each Mod? Wouldn't it be possible to use that one?

I might do something with the buttons.
As for built-in stuff, I started modding before it got implemented and haven't looked at it yet. What I currently have works, so why fix it (lazy :P)?
People don't always like change, that's why I make everything toggleable.
Yeah, of course that's not really important^^ I just like having all options somewhat organized so you intuitively know where to look for them and in the case of a mod the "Mod options" are that intuitive place in my opinion^^ This way you can also easily tell what options belong to which plugin. But ofc, that's easy to tell with the current button for the minimap too and for the world map you probably don't need the config more than once for the initial setup, as there are only 3 options atm^^ So this is a really really low priority^^
+ Added better support for modded cave dimensions (similar to nether).
+ Added 2 new options to stop the world map from updating the already loaded chunks, stop loading new chunks or both.
+ Added capes as Patreon rewards.
Anyone using any of my mods (after a certain mod update) will be able to see capes on Patrons (including themselves).
Not sure if this has been suggested or not, but how about teleport option? I love the features of this map, but also love the teleport option in map writer, where you can put your cursor at any part of the map and press "T" to teleport to that location, as well as specifying what height.

You can put waypoints anywhere using the minimap mod and then teleport to them via the world map.
When I click the download link (tried all of them >_<) the page loads and loads and presents me with a screen saying the server timed out. This mod looks awesome on the cover and this feature is one reason why I use 2 minimaps (the other is difficult to manage lol). I don't know why this is happening, I'll try again repeatedly throughout the day, but it is bugging me so bad since I want to use it! This happens with Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.

Hey. This will probably annoy you if you are trying to scroll down the page.
+ Added MultiWorld support for multiplayer servers and realms.
Worlds created by modifying the same world save will most likely share the same multiworld ID so the system isn't perfect.
+ Added Realms support.
+ Added new visual terrain options to the world map settings: terrain depth and terrain slopes.
The "terrain depth" option adds depth to the world map by using blocks' height levels to calculate brightness.
Slopes are what was used prior to this update but it can now be disabled if you like minimalism.
The new options have absolutely no impact on the performance.
* Fixed '_' usage in the world IDs. I have no idea why I didn't do it from the start, probably forgot.
IF a new save is started for your world then to fix it go to ".minecraft/mods/XaeroWorldMap/" and find your world's map folder.
The name of the folder should look like
<world name>_<dimension(null for overworld)>
,
for example, "newworld_null", "newworld_dim-1" etc.
Replace any underscores ( _ ) in the <worldname> with "^us^". Exclude the quotation marks ( ' ).
Thank you for the feedback!
