I guess due to Minecraft's limitations, places with low elevations will inevitably be under water? I can't really complain, I was a hermit growing up, what do I really care about my hometown being under water (the pun wasn't originally intended, but that works too) xD
Edit: Nevermind, I just forgot to change world type *facepalm*

Cool thanks.
I just think it's weird that when I teleported to Pennsylvania, USA, it's a jungle biome. I would have thought it might have been a forest biome or even taiga.
I apologize if I missed something, but how should we suggest biome updates? Because Atlantic Canada is not completely covered in snow in reality XD, grassland/forest would make much more sense, although I haven't seen the rest of Canada yet to see if this is a nationwide issue

IKR? And Pennsylvania in the U.S. is not a jungle, what's up with that? I expected just a normal oak forest. Also, I don't even see any rivers or lakes either. I suppose the scale of 1:95 would make them impossible to render if they're very small... but you got some of the hudson river in new york city, so you would think one of pennsylvania's rivers would show up.

You can suggest biomemap updates here by submitting a Pull Request.
Only places below sea level will have water, I haven't found any river / water source data that I can use.

How exactly do I make a pull request? I made a fork because it looks like that's what I have to do first. Not sure what kind of file I'd have to make or upload, I never did this before. What do I do, make a comment about where a biome should go? Do I create a new map and color in my own biomes? What confuses me more is the detail I see about biomes o plenty support. Is the list of biome to color code part of the mod or does it only work if you have biome o plenty installed?
I'd like to know why you selected the 1:95 scale; I'm also curious if you keep the Y scale the same as the X/Z scale (sea level at 62, 255-62 has 193 blocks, that goes to about 18,300 feet roughly -- actually, that's almost all of the mountains.)
I know, for example, that time is a 1:72 scale; if the distance scale matched, then we'd have "accurate" travel rates as well.
You've made it clear that you won't backport to 1.7.10. Do you have a source release (github, etc) so that someone else could port it?
There are still a number of significant mods that are stuck at 1.7.10; 1.8, 1.8.9, and 1.9.4 did not get a very large number of mods. 1.10.2 looks to be the next version that has a big collection of mods being made. Do you plan on updating to 1.10.2? (Key ones for me: Custom Ore Generation, Mystcraft; strong ones: Twilight Forest, Carpenter's Blocks).
(Essentially, a lot of packs will be 1.7.10 skipping to 1.10.2, because the mods in use do not have common versions in-between).
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

I chose 1:95 scale because at that scale, Mount Everest reached just under 256 blocks high, so it's as big as possible. And yes, the Y scale is the same as the X and Z scale.
I do have a GitHub for the mod.
The majority of 1.9.4 mods should work on 1.10.2, although I haven't tested it with this mod yet.

Are there no caves? I just happened to look underground and there are no caves at all. I'm not complaining, as that would mean no mobs spawning underground, but it makes mining more interesting when you can travel through a cave system and it makes it easier to find ores.

Yes, Minecraft height limit and render distance.
I will be adding Biomes O' Plenty compatibility, but not 1.7.10.

cool mod
How exactly do you contribute to the biomemap? Does it have to do with the thing that says "Restart biomemap with biomes o' plenty support"?
Not sure what I have to do.
You can make a Pull Request.
Cool thanks.

I am not making a port of this mod for 1.7.10.
Is there any possible way to get this to work for Minecraft 1.7.10 so I can use it with a certain modpack?
I know that there's no plans to do it, but is there any way to do it?
No, unless you port it yourself. (Which involved learning to code and mod)
So it's most likely easier to make my own modpack with more up to date mods then
Yes. Anyway, IMO, 1.7.10 is highly outdated and shouldn't still be in use.

Hello, I just found out about this mod.

No, there are no caves currently.
