is it possible to change the axis of a C&B design? I currently made a design on the floor, but I want to apply it to the wall, but I can't seem to rotate the design upwards, I can only rotate it on the floor. I tried using the middle scroll, wrench and designs, but all did not work the way I wanted them to

The wrench can rotate a design to any side or orientation, you just need to click on the right face.
if you click on the west face, it will rotate around the east-west axis, if you click a top face, the top-bottom axis. For clarity I am talking about the individual faces, not the bounding box.

aah, it's working now, thanks for the quick reply, I couldn't figure out how to do it at all
Just came across this mod, but I kind of need some less. How do I have to set the configs(if possible) so that I have excactly 2 Blocks per color, 1 normal and one glowing, none transparent and only the original 16 minecraft colors? So a total of 32 different Blocks.
The number of colors is determined by the ranges and the shade number in the configs.
I don't know of any way you'll be able to use those settings to match MC's colors, its just not what the mod was designed for, you might find another mod that just adds glowing colored glow-stone and re-texture it, and maybe re-texture stained glass or something.
Or maybe make a new mod that just adds those 32 colors/
Hey! I'm using this mod on 1.10.2 with biomes o plenty. I saw in a video that people were able to chisel biomes o plenty leaves to make some cool stuff, but that is not possible on my server. Is there a way to make the leaves compatible? I'm not discounting that they were clever with block placement
if the biomes of plenty folks want they can white list their leaves, by default <most> leaves probobly don't fall under the automatic detection algorithm however. And I don't think it would make sense for me to start going around white listings everyone else's stuff haphazardly.

The silver leaf tree leaves from thaumcraft work with a whole bunch of mods like chisels & bits and architecturecraft.
Makes sense, is there any way for me to whitelist things?
At the moment white listing can only be done by mod developers, this is primary to prevent things like crashes and item deletion, you can ask them if they would white list their things however.
Hey, if I was using a shrinking mod, would I be able to build a house (without a door, of course) out of the bits? I know it is a noobish question, but I wanted to know before I installed the other mod. Thanks!

It should work fine as long as the shrinking mod gives you the proper size bounding box, I'm pretty sure someone has tested this before, I don't remember where, or when however.

It scales you but everything else doesn't respond to the scale you are. (everything else doesn't scale with you)
The answer is yes you can (I did it with a castle) before I realized that I could no longer fire arrows or throw projectiles correctly even when normal size with that mod installed... so I don't have it installed as of right now.
May use it if I needed to fit inside of something I chiseled but for anything other than that... the mod is not applicable due to what it does to gameplay. (It is really cool though)
Optimization question: If I make a full-cube striped wallpaper block from two different materials, does the material mix have a polygon cost in the form of separate geometry for each stripe? Or does the mod combine the textures and apply that to a simple cube?

There is a polygon cost, this is primarily because more polygons are generally faster then more textures ( at least at this scale ), especially since they usually are batched with MC poly, or batched with other C&B Blocks.
Plus mixing various LOD textures and texture generation is messy, and can be very wasteful, using polygons results in taking advantage of the texture atlas and avoids texture switching all together.
C&B does a decent job of merging faces so that if your stripes are indeed full length stripes you should have a fairly low poly count still, C&B takes advantage of VBOs and DisplayLists as well, so the geometry isn't re-submitted to the graphics card every frame, but only when it needs to be re-batched into either MC's or C&B's sets when things are changing.
Could you please add bedrock, barrier and other indestructible blocks as creative bits, so that anything which has such a bit in it is indestructible as well? Trying to make a jail and that would look great for jail bars(iron block and barrier). Would be really useful.
C&B isn't a mod about security, I think your better off using a mod that prevents changes to blocks if you want to build a real jail, besides hardness is calculated by the most common material, making a special case for that for bedrock seems like the wrong direction.
This might have been covered already but how do I import the builds back in to the same, I am crating items for my mod pack what people can import back in to there maps and games but I have no idea how to get it back in to the game, I am able to get them out of the game very easy, and I don't need to worry about resources as I have made sure the mod pack includes all the resources needs.
Thanks
Presently the only way to save and move blocks in and out of the game world is to use the creative clipboard, larger and more expressive exporting and importing will come when I complete sharing / blueprints, but its still a ways off based on my lack of progress and time.
This mod is fantastic and has been working great with my other mods. Until today. No crashes or "weirdness" or failures of other mods.
C&B's design papers, both positive and negative just...stopped working. I was actively building a slanted roof using your mod, and had placed 3 dozen blocks or so successfully, and have dozens more decorations around my project. Then It just quit.
I can still see where it would place, and it's rotation works. It just doesn't remove the bits. The block stays totally unchanges and stacks with like blocks when I break it.
It felt like there was a "bit limit" or something, so I broke some other chiseled blocks and tried again. No dice.
Then I erased my designs and re-made them. Nope.
Then I threw away my design papers and made new ones entirely. Nope.

Is there a fix for this?
Sounds like its not finding the chisel on your person, are you sure that you have a chisel that can break the material on you? Patterns use the chisels and the bits / bags on your person to preform the functions. Without a chisel they cannot remove the bits, and without the bits they cannot place the designs.
There is no "bit limit" as you say.
Besides that the only thing I could offer is that perhaps you have installed something else thats causing a problem.

You can refrence Tinkers construct as an example,

Hello.
I was wondering if you could tell me how to spawn the block shown in the creative menu with command blocks if possible.
I want to 'animate' the blocks to make like, looping fire animation.
I don't know command blocks in the slightest, I would recommend not doing that how ever, it would not have good implications performance wise.

You are right AlgorithmX2, I didn't even think about whether or not I burned through the chisel. Getting a new chisel solved the problem.
