It is said only the very brave or the very stupid mess with one of the most dangerous forces of nature.
For one to harness such raw power, one would need very specialized tools and machines.
That's where LightningCraft comes in. Use the power of lightning to make stuff!

What can you do in LightningCraft?
- Make air terminals and lightning power cells to store LE (Lightning Energy)
- Swing golf clubs in the air to summon lightning to store at first, but then find better methods of doing so
- Use the LE to run machines and create powerful items, such as Electricium and Skyfather Shards
- Transmit your LE from base to another location if you so desire with transmitters and receivers
- Electricium is a metal that is a tier above diamond, as it is made by infusing an iron ingot with a gold ingot and a diamond. Swords and Hammers made from this metal have a chance to summon lightning on foes you strike.
- Make Kinetic tools, armor, and more that run on mobile lightning power
- The Skyfather shard has physical properties slightly above Electricium, but its electrical properties are well beyond it. Anything made from this mystical item repairs itself automatically. Skyfather tools have auto-smelting with luck (+1 fortune when auto-smelting), the skyfather hoe has quick farm (hoe a 1x3 row at a time, use again to get a 5x5 hoed area), and the sword and hammer have a greater chance to strike your foes with lightning.
- Turns out, the gods don't like mortals having such control over mother nature, so they've sent ones to deal with you, starting you on your divine journey to the Underworld and beyond...

(1) Install Forge (Latest Forge 1.7.10 release recommended, at least 10.13.4 required.)
(2) Download this mod and place the jar into your Mods Directory.
(3) Config File Settings (by default, it shouldn't conflict with most popular mods, but just in case, it's an option)

You want LightningCraft in your mod pack? All you need to meet are five simple conditions: 1. Your mod pack needs a link back to this forum post. 2. You cannot make any money off of the mod pack. 3. You cannot claim that you made any part of the mod, and you must give credit to the author of the mod (sblectric). 4. If I ever ask you to remove my mod from your pack, for whatever reason, you do so. 5. Handle any queries and bug reports internally first.
If these five conditions are met, then you have my permission to use it in a mod pack.

Oh, oops, forgot to make a recipe for the underworld charge. Basically, you'd infuse a fire charge with demon blood and light a 4x4 demonstone portal. Will push version 1.3.2 to correct this!

The Hand of Thor enchantment applies to electricium and skyfather swords and hammers, and it makes them more likely to strike an entity with lightning. The Electrostatic Aura enchant is basically like thorns but with lightning, only works on skyfather armor for now, but I might make both of these enchants compatible with any sword and armor respectively.
I did oredict the ores for the upcoming 1.4 update, among tons of new stuff!
One: Maybe you could somehow gate or otherwise regulate the progression from electricium to Skyfather a bit more and give a bit more of a warning as to the consequences. XD (I thought you'd only get in trouble when you actually wear Skyfather stuff.)
I made a Skyfather ingot basically right after I got electricium, because I needed the eyes of ender it can be ground down into. Result: I can hardly get anywhere anymore in the Nether, and I haven't even found a fortress... Guess I really have to beef up my equipment now.
Two: Maybe the in-game book can be a bit clearer on what the different sets of equipment do, or how they relate to each other. Specifically, it's not clear (to me) what role the kinetic gear plays compared to electricium and Skyfather gear. Same thing goes for the imbued stone swords, although they are cheap to make and experiment with.
Yeah, I'll probably make some of the book stuff clearer. If you're on 1.9.4+, there's always wuss mode! (Makes it so demons are always neutral)
I don't want to be "that person", but I do, so it might be noted that lightning energy=electricity. Just saying...
Nonetheless, I'll probably try out this mod if the latest version works with 1.10, and if I can fix my memory problems.
Yeah, it is electricity. It's called LE to be specific and mystical, not to be scientifically accurate. Redstone Flux, for example, isn't scientifically founded in any way whatsoever.

Well, redstone IS fictional, but lightning energy is a bit like calling a rabbit a smeerp. Still, the mod seems pretty fun so far.

1.4 has finally been released!
Once FTB gets around to approving it, you can expect to see your mod in a modpack already. I'm unusually quick about these things.

The battery issue is fixed in 2.4.3.
