I use Tuff as Nails mod alongside with this mod and it's awesome. However, the thing that bothers me the most is that if I put Minecraft on Hard difficulty, my screen flickers back and forth with red blurred visuals. The reason for this is because Hard Difficulty with Tuff as Nails installed makes players start with only 3 hearts! This mod thinks you are dying and so starts the heart beat enhancement. Is it possible to make this mod able to detect that my players and I actually started with only 3 hearts, therefore we are at max health and the heart beat enhancement should not be employed until 1-2 hearts?

You can change it in the config file (added by version 1.0.0).
Yep, it's client-side, but I'd like to use it on my server for players.
It's a pity you won't.
Yeah i'm sorry, i just recommend to update to 1.10.2 and i will come back to this mod soon (maybe in a week) to add new features, maybe i will backport config to 1.7.10, but don't take it for granted.

There're tons of perfect mods haven't even 1.8 version. That's why I can't update my modpack.
I'm also using Tough as Nails with hardcore mode and starting with 3 hearts, I've been unsuccessful finding the sweetspot to have no heartbeats at that level while starting them if less than that. I can increase heartbeatfactor to around 100 which theoretically based on your equation should be higher than default, and yet I'm still getting slow heartbeats. Is there some other setting I'm overlooking? The low health alphafactor? I don't really know what normalalpha is referring to. Any help?
I'm just trying to find an option in the config that will set the threshold where heartbeats start from 4 or 5 which is default to lower than three which is what you start in hardcore tough as nails.
Version v1.0.1 for mc1.9.4 is also compatible with Minecraft 1.10.
Great mod nuff said
Any chance the visuals could go under the HUD and not above it makes it real hard to see where my food is when I can't see the bar and I'm dying

Sorry, but it's meant to be like that. It should make things difficult.

It's amazing. But could you add a config to disable some effects? Not all of them work with other mods well.
While I can appreciate that from a artistic standpoint its kind of hard to tell what to do when you died or even if you died
This is the respawn screen
Sure, you can configure everything in the config file.
Added to my todo list.
I can't find your mod in the config folder. What is it called?
enhancedvisuals.cfg in AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\config unless you changed the location to store stuff
No enhancedvisuals.cfg in the config folder. Sure I ran the game with this mod.
Sorry that it took me so long to answer. The config file is a rather new feature, not ported to 1.7.10 or 1.8.
Is it hard to port it to 1.7.10? Your mod would be the great feature on my server.
Erhm, it's client-side only and sorry, but i'm really busy with a lot of things. There are a lot of mods which need my attention .

Yeah, i know this problem, but if i have to backport everything i add, i will never make any progress.

Thanks for a great mod, btw.
Do the effects show on top of the hotbar?
