AutoFish Forge Mod is a Minecraft mod that provides the option to automatically reel in and re-cast the fishing rod when a bite is detected. Bite detection is 100% accurate in single-player mode, and mostly accurate in multiplayer mode.
Additional options include:
- MultiRod, which automatically switches to the next available fishing rod in the hotbar when the current rod breaks
- Break Protection, which will stop using a rod before it breaks.
- Re-Cast Delay, which can be increased if server lag causes auto re-casting to fail.
- Entity Clear Protection, which attempts to detect when the server clears entities from the world and automatically re-cast.
- Aggressive Bite Detection, which tries even harder to catch all bites in multiplayer.
- Handle Problems, which re-casts when something seems wrong.
- Fast Fishing (Single Player Only), which causes a bite right after each cast.
This mod may be banned on some multiplayer servers.

only as a personal exercise, but I've seen enough people wishing that troyboy50's mod

- To configure AutoFish Forge Mod, click the [Mods] button from the main Minecraft screen, or press the 'o' key while in-game and holding a fishing rod.
Thank you so much for making a Forge version of the mod. Liteloader doesn't work with the latest version of forge, this would help out a lot. Do you plan to convert some of the liteloader mods into Forge version?
I also added an experimental Entity Clear Protection feature, which when enabled should automatically re-cast if the fish hook entity is deleted by the server. If this seems to work well, I will try to back-port it to earlier Minecraft versions of the mod.
1.12-1.4 posted. This adds a configuration option for the re-cast delay to help folks who are seeing the auto re-cast fail when there is significant server lag. 1.12 only so far. I will try to back-port it to earlier Minecraft versions if I have time.
Hey! I wanted to say that I love this mod a bunch and it's been super handy since I only started playing modded Minecraft recently.
However I seem to be having a problem: I have the latest Forge downloaded, and I'm playing MC 1.12. I set the configuration for this mod to switch to the next fishing rod in the hotbar (set it to 'true'), but it has never actually done that. If the rod breaks, it just breaks, with no switch over. I have to manually change rods.
Mod version 1.7 released, with slightly better bite detection for multiplayer and an "Aggressive Bite Detection" option. Available for 1.12.x, 1.11.x, 1.10.x, 1.9.x, and 1.8.9.
please make a 1.7 version, i play hcf and fishing can get you some really good stuff. but the thing is this mod is for 1.8 and the pvp for hcf is better in 1.7

Updated for 1.12.

1.12.1 Possible?
Mod version 1.5 released.
New feature: Fast Fishing (single player only). Fish bite right away every time.
Also some mod compatibility improvements (thanks BoxOfFlex).
Only for Minecraft 1.12.x versions right now. I will back-port if I have time.
Mod version 1.6 release.
This fixes 2 bugs (hopefully):
- Auto-switching to the next fishing rod in the hotbar sometimes failed when MultiRod was enabled and BreakProtection was disabled.
- Very rarely it failed to re-cast
Mod version 1.7 released, with slightly better bite detection for multiplayer and an "Aggressive Bite Detection" option. Available for 1.12.x, 1.11.x, 1.10.x, 1.9.x, and 1.8.9.

if you could do this it would mean alot <3
Adding an auto eat feature would be nice (As long as it doesn't eat the fish i catch)
