Hello its me again, i had a problem with the wwe and wurst client.
If i launch both worlddownloader and wwe/wurst and click on escape it automatically crashes, but because it only crashes with these clients and not without them, my thought was that the in the options, these special hack client options are overlapping with the worlddownload option.
I would be so happy if you could fix it because the server im downloading switched to 1.15.2 recently
hi ive never used mods before and so far ive gotten as far as downloading multimc but i have some confusion now, on page 1 in the instructions for multimc it says enter "1.9_WDL" is this still what i enter? or do i enter the current version name of wdl that i downloaded? if i download the latest version that supports 1.15.2 what am i supposed to enter there?
also if i have the 1.15.2 version of the game, but play on optifine 1.14.4 but the server i want the backup of my build is on 1.13.2 do i install the 1.15.2 version then in the launcher change it to 1.15.2 or can i still use opti 1.14.4?
thats my main question, a few others I have if anyone has the time or would be so kind to answer is,
does this work with optifine?
if i open the vanilla mc launcher after installing wdl will it still be there or do i need to launch via multimc?
does it still work on servers where you can teleport between multiple set homes, ex. if i backup one home then tp to a different one will it save both in relation to each other in the world?
im also sort of curious how it will load items with the custom enchants plugin or custom spawners placed when booted in single player?

Installing in MultiMC only affects what you launch with multimc; it won't change the normal launcher at all. The name you use for the profile can be anything you want (1.9_WDL was used back then because that's what I was testing with).
It sounds like your server supports multiple Minecraft versions -- just download the version of WDL that you want to use in that case. If you plan on playing the downloaded world in 1.14.4, you should use 1.14.4 or earlier, i.e. "mod-worlddownloader-baseedit-4.0.6.2-mc1.14.4.zip", as each version creates a save designed for that version of Minecraft, and you shouldn't load saves from a newer version in an older version. (Make sure to also use the same Minecraft version in multimc). One other thing to remember: use "Add to Minecraft.jar", not "Add mod". (The image shows "add jar mod", but that button has since been renamed).
WDL itself does not support optifine; you can't have both installed at the same time (at least when using the base edit). This just means you can't have optifine while you're downloading; you can move the downloaded world to your normal Minecraft install and use optifine afterwards. (When installing with multimc, it will start from a clean jar, so you don't need to do anything special; just don't try to add optifine as well).
Teleporting between homes should work and they will be placed at the same locations relative to each other in the world. If you want to save each home as a separate world, you can enable multiworld support, and then after downloading 1 home, stop downloading before teleporting to the other. Then when you start downloading again, enter a different world name for the second home. But, everything should still work fine if you don't do this; they'll be put in different places in the same world normally. Just note that you won't have the /home command in singleplayer!
I'm not sure how custom enchantments or such would work. Most likely, they'll display the enchantment text, but not actually have special effects, but it depends on how the plugin that adds it works. You also might or might not be able to use custom spawners; that too depends on how the plugin works.

so seeing as ive already had optifine installed what steps should i follow to get the WDL installed? do I just change the minecraft launcher from optifine 1.14 to a normal 1.15.2 then install the wdl to multimc and launch through multimc when i want to run wdl and use the normal launcher on optifine AFTER going and getting the download i want?
sorry if these are dumb questions, I just want to clarify before i start setting things up and potentially run into incompatibility issues
thanks again, the server im playing on resets in like 4 days and id like to save my builds lol
well apparently the server resets tomorrow or tonight, not sure which, but got on my old computer, deleted optifine and all leftover mc stuff, reinstalled the game, downloaded multimc, and both current versions of the WDL zip version crash before multimc can even open the launcher what do i do?

Sorry for not responding, I missed this message. I hope you managed to get a backup, but if not, it's on me for somehow missing the email from this. I'll need a crash report to diagnose further (unless you posted the comment after here too, in which case, see response).
You installed "mod-worlddownloader-baseedit-4.0.6.2-mc1.09.0.zip"; you need to use "mod-worlddownloader-baseedit-4.0.6.2-mc1.15.2.zip" if you're playing on 1.15.2 or else there will be conflicts like in that crash due to things that have changed over the years.
hey, soz for bothering you again. everything wokred amazingly - so thanks so much! But, i've encountered a problem. the chunks that i haven't flown to, are just not there, shouldn't new chunks be generating?

By default, chunks won't generate, since WDL doesn't know the server seed and if it did attempt to generate terrain without it, things would be massively mismatched. You can configure generator settings in the appropriate menu (under WDL's ... button). (Note that you need to stop downloading for these settings to take affect, as they're saved in level.dat.)
Note that now that you've generated some void chunks, the game will remember them and won't generate a new thing there. You can start downloading again and visit that area (as well as configure the generator settings), or you can reload one of the backups.
Hey is there no litemod 1.15.2 support yet ? The file isn't on the github. Screenshot is in attachment. There is only a baseedit file for 1.15.2.
Unfortunately, there isn't; liteloader itself hasn't been updated past 1.13, so I've only been providing baseedit versions. There are installation instructions on the first page (basically, use multimc and "add to minecraft.jar"). I want to port to other loaders, but I haven't had time to do so.
Hi, I downloaded this mod to get my friend's server in single player. I can load into the server, but after I start the world download it crashes with this error.

I see some OpenGL error messages (such as "[16:36:35] [Render thread/INFO]: OpenGL debug message, id=1285, source=API, type=ERROR, severity=HIGH, message=Error has been generated. GL error GL_OUT_OF_MEMORY in (null): (ID: 173538523) Generic error") and it ended with a JVM EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION crash at ig9icd32.dll+0x46e930 — those are usually issues with your computer (see MC-32606). You may have previously dome some kind of workaround (such as changing VBOs or vsync, or increasing the memory allocated to the game) with the normal launcher that needs to be redone with multimc (since it uses a different game folder and thus settings).

I do not support clients intended for cheating. Sorry.
