If you do add the Nemean lion, just saying it would be overpowered if it actually blocked all damage like in the myths. Maybe just give it as many armor points as a full set of diamond armor (and hitting it in the mouth would bypass the armor).
I looked up the Nemean Lion and also found the Erymanthian Boar. Both would be great mobs. The lion's skin would be good for armor crafting as previously stated and the boar's tusks could be used for crafting weapons.
Now That's a "baddaspig"! I'm Sorry! I Couldn't Help It!
Guys I'm sorry if people asked this before but are the dragons finished?

I think it might need a bit more armor points than diamond armor offers but as long as it is hard to fight but still possible to beat. The mouth idea also sounds pretty cool.
The Nemean Lion and the Erymanthian Boar were two of the quests in the 10 trials of Hercules. The lion was the first and the boar was the forth. The Stymphalian Birds were I think number six. A few of others that could make good mobs are the Learnaean Hydra, the Ceryneian Hind, and the Mares of Diomedes.
The flesh eating horses, the Mares of Diomedes, would make a great aggressive plains mob that looks a lot like a normal horse, so look a little closer before running up to that herd of ponies. A bit like that evil white rabbit that was removed. How tough they are depends on how common they're made, but they're quick like a baby zombie (horses are fast mobs) and they just drop leather like a normal horse.
The Ceryneian Hind, also called the Golden Hind, is the impossible to catch deer with golden antlers that is too fast to shoot with an arrow.
This mod... i can tell is gonna be The Best dragon mod ever But you could just combine this with alot of other dragon mods to have diffrent types of dragons...
Im adding this to my singnature
Why? Focusing on just two wonderful dragons and making them well instead of stretching themselves out and fish slapping us with a butt load of cheesy, bug infested dragon mobs is the theme of this mod. And this is the several dozenth time someone has suggested that a butt load of cheesy dragon mobs be added to the "Ice and Fire" mod. The name of the mod states its goal. And personally I love it. If you really need more more more, go play Lycenites or Ore Spawn or something.
p.s. Have you even looked at the "Future Creatures" spoiler? Cockatrice? Amphithere? These really not dragon enough for you?

This would be a sweet addition to what is already planned. especially the hydra.
Oh yes a hydra with atleast 3 heads would be awesome
I imagine that the hydra would be more like another boss mob. Or like the sea serpent and the dragons it gets tougher with size. Maybe bigger ones have more heads? The smallest and youngest could have just one head and almost look cute, like it's just a babe. The second stage has two and the third and oldest/ largest has three. I'm trying to think of a good biome for such a massive beast that doesn't already have devoted massive or boss like mobs.
The Ceryneian Hind would have to be in some kind of forested biome. Maybe a rare mob found in any non-tropical, tree filled biome or in the spruce tiagas. The roofed forests already have the faeries.
The Mares of Diomedes would be found wherever you can find horses. Something that would camouflage them a little better with other horses is if they spawn in herds like normal horses. The mares are supposed to be insane from living on an unnatural died of flesh, so maybe their eyes have a red tint or they sound or act a little differently when idle. Also they might only come in certain colors I wouldn't want them to be too difficult, maybe more of an occasional annoyance.
This looks dope. Is there a limit to how many babies you can carry? And do the dragons have their own custom sounds. If so can you have control while riding them and do s war cry or something? Sorry. I'm going through a hella bad game of thrones dragon craze right now. Just finished season 6
If you do manage to do a Hydra, it should be native to swamp biomes, since there's not many swamp mobs and Lernea where the Hydra lived was a huge stinking marsh in the Hercules myth.

Are they really that small???
I scored 91% on the Minecraft Trivia Quiz. How much do you know about Minecraft?

I'm guessing those are newly hatched dragons. Considering Stage 5s are the size of small villages that's a lot of size difference.

Damn that is cute. I'd love to see more angles of this. Do they do anything, like bite mobs, or just cling and look cute?
Ice and Fire: Dragons in a whole new light
Wait so this: is only 30 blocks long? It looks a lot bigger.
Edit: so I just checked in a non-superflat world, villages are apparently smaller than I thought.

does that mean that some adults will be bigger than others?
